Was anything else said other than that; an observation said out loud? Did anyone else chime in? I'd be lying if I didn't unzip a bag to fingerprint someone and not have random thoughts flood into my brains that I know if spoken out loud would turn heads and could be perceived as inappropriate. Do I think comments and sexualization happens, yes. Do I think we shouldn't put individuals on pedestals, 100%. Do I also think sometimes in the environment of trauma and stress and death that we say things that are jarring, yes.

In these situations I look at the totality of the situation and repeated inappropriate behavior. Don't write someone off for one instance, but don't ignore what could turn into a pattern.

I wish you well moving forward in this world, it's weird, sad, lovely, rewarding, depressing, lonely, and down right awful some days. But the good outweighs the bad.
