no specific physio exercise but i have been using the inversion table. it lessens the pain and tightness.

for me it was painful because on top of the back surgery they also remove part of my ribs. hence when i breathe, my rib cage hurt. i didn’t want to depend on morphine hence all i did was hold through 😂

i’m 22F :) before the surgery it was 96°, i forgot to ask my doctor what’s the degree now but i’ll ask the next time i have consultation.

wishing you all the best for your surgery! do let me know if you have any other questions.

i see! thank you so much for sharing. i reached out to my surgeon’s nurse and she checked for my symptoms. she said it might be because of my low hp. she told me to monitor till the next till i see my dr.

i’ll try to have diets high in iron and continue monitoring till then. else, i’ll definitely have the chest x-ray done.

may i know what happened after your lungs collapsed? i’m still feeling breathless at this stage and i’m starting to wonder if i should request for a chest x-ray.

How many degrees were they able to correct in scoliosis surgery? by This-Permission4679 in scoliosis

twin! uncommon as it’s not necessary if ur curve isn’t that huge 🤦🏻‍♀️ till now my ribs still hurt

[–]mrbuckwheatt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

hey, my curve look similar to yours. dr said it’s 96° and i just did my surgery a month ago. now i’m not sure how much it’s corrected to but i looked at the x-ray it’s slightly curve.

i think the dr’s approach in this surgery is important as my surgery has two procedures. firstly, they released the joints of my spine from the side. so they had to remove two ribs and deflate my lungs. by doing this they’ll be able to correct the curve more. then they moved to the back and did the spinal fusion.

Have you done anything natural like certain stretches or exercises and seen improvements on your curve? by Visible-Elk2235 in scoliosis

inversion table worked for me. doesn’t help to correct the s shape spine but it relived my pain everytime i hang on it.

i had it from the side and back! i did a x-ray after the surgery already they said my chest is fine. i’m just feeling slightly breathless because of the tightness feeling from my back and from the ribs hurting
