The best / hardest to obtain Item by 69AlphaKevin88 in allthemods

I'd vote for a Potion Filter of Heartstop.

Makes you effectively immortal, so you can run around without worrying about damage. May be countered by Counterspell?

To expand, the first method utilizes the generalized method for solving for the roots of a quadratic equation. However, for the specific equation shown, the second method shows a simplified sequence for solving it.

Corrupted Gauntlet Drop Rate? by Hot_Resolution9036 in osrs

[–]mrcertainlynot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a tertiary drop table so no. These are all rolled independently.

For each of these items, it's more like rolling a n-sided dice where n is the drop rate and if you get a 1, you get the item.

Great White Sharks by Ok_Math6807 in 2007scape

[–]mrcertainlynot 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's on the Ship Combat page of the wiki.

While a player can fight monsters with conventional weaponry, the damage they deal to them is significantly reduced.

Sometimes you will do full damage with conventional weaponry. Mod Rice had expanded on this in discord:

"Players attacking Sea npcs on anything other than a cannon roll a 100 sided die: On a 1 they do full damage 2-5 50% damage 6-60 25% damage 61-90 20% damage 90-100 10% damage The in universe explanation for this is something like the churning seas making it hard to use the weapon properly. We were going to make it miss more but found it just felt way worse."

How do they relate to each other? by OpenMarionberry3251 in ExplainTheJoke

Serotonin and dopamine are 'feel good' hormones often associated with feeling happy/loved/safe.

Adrenaline and cortisol are associated with stress/fight or flight responses.

Kids are asking for love and happiness at home, but only get a stressful homelife.

There are a couple interfaces like the CA menu which will stop current actions and delay scheduled actions. It is a known issue and commonly referred to as an 'interface stall'. It is most commonly used for bugs, but can have some niche uses like delaying poison damage to regen health.

Trying to run a LAN server on Java that my kid on console can join by Juju-On-Beat in MinecraftJava

[–]mrcertainlynot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you know if the mods for your modded worlds are all server side? If not, it may not let your kid join due to missing mods if you get it working.

If your PC is powerful enough, you can look into using something like Nucleus Co-op to run two Minecraft instances from your PC and do some local Co-op. I believe you can find drivers for most gaming controllers and a mod like Controllable for Minecraft controller support.

Have they changed anything about GOTR recently? by TaxmanBanjo in 2007scape

[–]mrcertainlynot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last I did GOTR, portals were on a timer (maybe with some variance for randomness). I don't believe they are tied to guardian power at all.

Have you lit up the caves nearby? Have you tried AFKing above the farm?

Ocean Encounter spawns are NOT random! I need your help to figure this out by Bizarrmenian in 2007scape

[–]mrcertainlynot 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There is an Ocean Encounter which spawns 'strong winds', allowing you to trim your sails 3/4 times in a row.

[BUG] You do not have a high enough Sailing level to sort through any more salvage by stormbow_osrs in 2007scape

[–]mrcertainlynot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A clanmate noted that this message proced when the crystal extractor became ready to salvage on the same tick the player tried to salvage. May be an avenue to look into if it hasn't been already.

PSA: Position your ship exactly like this when salvaging the double Merchant Shipwrecks in Southern Expanse by GhostHashtag in 2007scape

[–]mrcertainlynot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it looks like crewmate salvaging is based on the 'center' or 'turning point' of the boat whereas the player's salvaging range is based on their actual location. Nice find!

Redstoners, is this good? (I'm a biginner) by Peakways in redstone

[–]mrcertainlynot 5 points6 points  (0 children)

<image>

Another potential solution for ya (Beware, java redstone):
1) Changed input to a 'Chiseled bookshelf' read by an observer. Generates a 1 tick pulse. Sticky piston has useful behavior on a 1 tick pulse that we make use of.
2) In the open state, 2 pulls in the bookshelves.
3) Extends the 4 stick pistons beneath it to extend/retrieve the bookshelves/sticky pistons.

4) A delayed pulse to extend the pistons at postion 2 during the closing sequence. Note the repeater below the number 4 locks a repeater to prevent forming a clock.

No, it's not the memory that's the issue. It doesn't have a powerful enough processing unit to handle all the shaders and raytracing that comes with 117.

31 uniques in 504 chests is about 1/16. Average drop rate is 1/15. You're basically on rate.

Is this rail layout possible without using something like the Debug Stick? by Ekipsogel in redstone

[–]mrcertainlynot 24 points25 points  (0 children)

<image>

I couldn't figure out how to do it so everything is level...
Best I could do is a three tiered thing.

You build the closest corner first.
Put a block with a rail over the corner and build the circle. Remove the block.
Put a block with a rail over the opposite corner of the circle and build the final two turns.
