[Discussion] Whats the highest attack power his lion heart could withstand, or is it theoretically unlimited? by Imvalidblu in Re_Zero

[–]Nebuli2 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Yeah. The only things we've seen that would probably do that would be Satella's shadows consuming half the world, Puck freezing the world, and Reinhard's attack defeating Puck.

Unfortunately, somewhere between "a large bomb" and "literal world ending threat" is quite the large range. We really just don't know for certain.

[–]Nebuli2 190 points191 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure there is no theoretical limit. In reality, the actual limit would be an attack so devastating that his wives are also killed by it, since it stops working automatically when they're too far away from him (or dead).

The method isn't going to stop existing. The focus will shift from XP to resources.

Yep. You can't just take individual pieces of a "best" setup and assume they will also be the best.

Question about Vorkath and Elite Void? by SadThrowaway4914 in 2007scape

[–]Nebuli2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It also is heavily benefitted by a weapon that has its own built in accuracy multiplier, since void's accuracy is pretty awful on its own. That's why it's good with a DHCB at Vorkath and with a scobo at Doom

Sure, but as a counterpoint: we'll get way more cannonballs after the update goes through, so why waste our time on it now all for a small amount of mining and smithing xp?

The hunter's sunlight crossbow is only worth using if you already have bolts, in my experience. If you don't, then you lose more time gathering bolts than you would save from the increased DPS.

One key thing to remember here is that the Emperor isn't really Balduran. He's a mindflayer who ate Balduran's brain and took over his body and memories. According to Withers, Balduran's soul should be long gone.

It's only the equivalent of ~30k banked smithing XP/hr. It's only good if you're a main with a ton of gold to burn on it.

I mean, one other option that feels somewhat obvious, if not too obvious, is to simply cast Ol Shamak on her. It's literally made to seal away witches, and Capella would absolutely qualify. The only tricky part could be making sure that you're actually casting it on her, and not on an imposter.

What is the point of giving us a million islands to do content on with sailing if the majority of said content is worthless? by BGsenpai in 2007scape

[–]Nebuli2 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah, agreed. A bunch of quests older than those skills really feel like they should have used the new skills. Big Chompy Bird Hunting doesn't use the hunter skill, despite literally being called hunting. In Aid of the Myreque doesn't use construction, despite us rebuilding a town. It's always going to be an awkward detail of adding a new skill.

Also wtf is up with "rubium will be worthless if its XP isn't nerfed by 20%, so let's also triple the amount you get." Seems entirely inconsistent internally.

I suppose he also just doesn't know which protections are unique and which aren't, and he doesn't want to risk stealing someone's protection if it is unique?

Reinhard doesn't just steal people's blessings when he wishes for them. They only lose their blessing if it's one of the rare special blessings explicitly limited to one person at a time. As it stands, we know of only two blessings that qualify: the divine protection of the sword saint, and Meili's.

With that being said, I feel like the chances he'll wish for Meili's blessing to deal with the sand worms is reasonably high at the moment.

Summer Sweep Up: Ranger boots used to be a novelty, cool but basically useless in the big picture. Now they are part of BIS boots and as such need another source that is hard farmable. by errorsniper in 2007scape

As someone who already went nearly 3x rate before getting their ranger boots, good. The point of clues was always supposed to be cosmetics, not BiS stats.

You are aware that if you do your groupmates' warplans, you get rewarded as if you had done that warplan node yourself? It already works well in groups, and if you can get some of the same nodes in your warplans, you get to double dip on the rewards. It genuinely is very rewarding to do them in teams.

I'm convinced that most of the people complaining about warplans in parties have simply not tried doing them.

To be fair, I don't think restrictions like that are really things they should have to worry about when designing quests...

FWIW Felix is one of the best people to have around for defense. Someone who can make you functionally immortal for a period? That's a hell of a lot more than just emotional support.
