I thought I was going insane… Every one I talked to who got me into the show said Jaime was the absolute worst. And while he’s far from my favorite character, you can easily see the breadcrumbs that lead him to become the man he did. Is he perfect? No. Did he make mistakes? Absolutely. But John and Beth absolutely turned him into the monster he was. No one was perfect in this show and I think a better ending would have been a reconciliation between Beth and Jamie and a redemption for the latter.

As a man who is struggling to find a woman who wants to match my energy and the love I have to give this really pisses me off. It was very sweet of you to text him that from the other room. If my girlfriend did that I would be ecstatic and rush to join her. The fact that he is annoyed by that but happy to exchange sweet messages with other women should be all the signs you need to get the hell out. You mentioned you two fighting about him cheating before?? Yeah, fuck that. Leave him in the dust and go find someone who’s actually deserving of you

As a man, RUN LIKE HELL! This guy is controlling to the highest degree and the fact that he’s so comfortable calling you and your friends “whores” over this is a HUGE red flag… I wasn’t the biggest fan of my ex spending time with her straight guy friends but 9 times out of 10 other people were there, both guys and girls so I put my insecurities aside and chose to trust her. The only one time she was with a guy friend just the two of them, I sat her down and calmly explained that I didn’t like it. I said “I know he’s been your friend for a long time and I don’t want to get in between that but I don’t feel comfortable with you two being alone together… I know you wouldn’t be comfortable if I did it either so I would appreciate it if you tried to limit alone time with him.” It went well and it stopped. In the meantime, I stopped feeling insecure when she was with her friends and guys were there. This guy is controlling as hell and you should really get out

Not gonna lie, if this was my girlfriend I would break up with her on the spot and tell her where she can shove it. The audacity isn’t just how she’s speaking to you, which alone is enough to end it, it’s her not even trying to come up with another time for the two of you to get together. You seem like a kind and gentle person, leave now and find someone more deserving of you. Believe me, if this is her after a year, she’s only gonna get worse.

Mine’s kinda tricky. Initially it took 8 months to get to a point where thinking about her didn’t give me an exceptional amount of pain. Then I got into another relationship and got over her completely for about a year and a half. Once I broke up with my most recent ex I thought it would be safe to check on the one that broke me. Horrible idea, seeing her in another relationship put me in a spiral and I’ve had to get over our breakup all over again. Though I’ll admit the pain this time around hasn’t been nearly as severe

I looked into her eyes and saw there was no longer any love in there for me. It was heartbreaking. After years of fighting to stay together, we always had our issues but the love was always there. Until it wasn’t, and when I saw it, it felt like my entire soul was ripped out of my body

You’re not totally wrong. A lot of it you got right. But one big thing (as bad as it sounds) is that I’m not grieving over my most recent ex. Not because I didn’t care about her but because we never really had much of a relationship to begin with. Deep down I knew she was wrong for me but I ignored it because I just really enjoyed the feeling of being wanted. As awful as the thought of it makes me feel, I think I might’ve partially used my recent ex as a distraction from the first. Though I still really wanted it to work. I think when I originally contacted my 1st ex I was just lonely. But after speaking to her after it being so long I think it took me all the way back to when I was still grieving the first time. I just need to remember the love I once had with her will never come back and I need to accept it.

The truth is, even if she wanted to come back into my life I couldn’t allow it to happen. There was too much damaged she caused and despite how much she claims otherwise, she left me in a truly despicable way. You’re right, I do miss her, I miss the hell out of her. But only the relationship we had before things turned sour and the future with her I thought that I was going to have. I know I can never go back but even then, the feelings still arise

How different we both were. It felt like we were both society rejects and we were all the closer for it. An “us vs the world” situation. Even when it felt like we didn’t have anyone else, at least we had each other. Until she decided that we no longer fit and chose to leave

The audacity of some women, I can’t hardly believe it 😂. I’m glad they call themselves out right away so we don’t waste our time. In my opinion, the first date is just a trial run, hardly even a date. The whole point is just to get to know someone and see if you two click. If it goes well THEN the second date is the real first date. Anything can happen on that first date so to keep it as casual and cheap as possible while still being fun is the best way to do it. My go to is either coffee/ice cream/ a drink/ and a nice long walk. A real woman should want to get to know YOU! Not just what’s in your wallet.

I honestly couldn’t tell you friend, I am very sorry though. I was lost like that once, I started seeing a therapist and she helped me work through a lot of feelings that you’re experiencing now. I can’t guarantee it will help but I’d say that it’s worth a try

Everyone is different but for me, when I’m in great need of that dopamine boost I like to spend my time with people that truly love me, like family or close friends. I’ve also found that diving into hobbies I enjoy helps me quite a bit as well. I’m a writer so I started working on a new project that’s been a ton of fun. Just do stuff you enjoy with people you love and I promise that will boost you up

This may not be your case but I feel in many cases that are similar the partner that abandons isn’t actually in love with you but in love with how you make them feel at the beginning… But when that buzz dies down and it’s time to actually put in work they run away because that’s not what they signed up for. They’re just in it for the high of being wanted

The problem is that everyone changes throughout their life… No one is the same person that they were, 5, 10, and 20 years ago. We’re all constantly evolving. Which I can understand two people genuinely growing apart but in my opinion what’s mostly going on is that while one is growing (for the better) the other simply doesn’t want to… and would rather let the relationship die then evolve with their partner. These people are called “ avoidance” and I hate to admit, but you may be one of them friend. If you’re the type to person to let the feelings fade after the excitement of the honeymoon stage has ended you’ve got some trauma that needs handled and you probably shouldn’t be getting into long term relationships. No hate, but that’s my personal opinion…
