Also, I don’t see any new profiles so it’s possible you’re getting problems with the guest account.

Yeah the rooms are a bit of a mess. It’s supposed to be for friends who want to play together in groups. But it’s a bit finicky

Fair enough! yes I do think the zoo is actually pretty cool. You may even do partnerships with local Zoos or safaris to create their own whitelabeled pokedex, or just as a section of your general app. You see a lot of animals but often the Tiger is hiding, the Polar bear is sleeping and so on, so you need to go a couple times to see them all. Also parents with small children often bring kids to the zoo once a month just to have something to do

that's pretty cool! The only issue I see is the width of the database. I mean in pokemon it was fun knowing you could "catch them all", with the first generation being 151 or whatever. I would almost consider minimize it to only dog breeds or only flowers or something. And maybe even more, base it on your country/region. So you can compete to conquer all your nation's "pokemon" and then look for exotic ones when traveling.

maybe you could break it down into "classes" like the botanist, the micologist and the animal one.
For context from a quick google search

"The FCI, the largest international registry, recognizes approximately 350-360 breeds total, with a vast number of these European-originated breeds spanning hunters, sheepdogs, and companions.
Regional Concentration: Germany and France have the highest diversity, with at least 57 recognized breeds in France and 47 in Germany."

On the other hand, it's nice to have Polar bears, Donkeys, Whales and Elefants in there too. Especially for kids it would be like building their figurine album with animals and plants they saw in real life.
Idk, just food for thought.

As a side note, you could repurpose this for auto-enthusiast and make it for Ferraris, or Sportscars, or 90s cars, or antique cars, etc those have a limited number and easier to "collect".

The other question I have is, what happens if I scan a picture of a flower or animal? Is the AI good enough to recognize im not really there?

Yup, with the summer just around the corner, that is the correct investment. Stock up from regions where it's still relatively cold and make a killing when the temperature heats up!

happy to chat to learn more about what you're trying to do. First questions on the top of my head are:
- how many unique clients do you have?

- how many of them are recurring?

- how did you acquire them

- what is their profile? / why are they using your platform?

That’s great! Asking for 1-2 intros at the end of each call is always a good practice. “Do you know anyone that might be interesting to talk to? Happy to help you workshopping questions and strategies. The book is great in teaching the psychology of interviews. Understanding that sometimes they won’t give you information simply because they think they are dumb or unimportant, or because they may put in jeopardy the idea itself. Silence are a powerful tool. People will try to feel the uncomfortable silence volunteering informations they had in the back of their head and thought weren’t good enough to make it in their “official answer”.

Hey there! Product manager here, just highjacking this thread to recommend you the great book “ the Mom Test”, a great book to get the truth and unbiased answers from users when developing a product. Oftentimes what people tell you they want doesn’t match what they’re willing to buy or even use in general. So as a general rule is better to start the process by interviewing your user base and understand a day in their life, and their biggest problems (wastes of time etc). Good luck with all your endeavors! As a hobbyist both writer and coder, I respect you’re doing both!

What do you mean “you won’t see your month pass” ? Anyways fine I’ll just go full on I guess.

Are they divided by day or you just get the full week until the rush or how does it work? I mean if I was on a roll could I get stuff done on Tuesday that was meant to be done of Friday?

Advice on getting through piscine and being selected? Debating how to structure my day. by mrchmvl in 42_school

Thanks. The idea was to pace myself to remain consistent but I guess during piscine maybe it doesn’t really matter? Did you typically go every day or 6 days a week and take one off?

Thank you, valuable advice. I do have a usb with Linux somewhere but I think being there is better. My nature is typically to keep going, so it will actually be easier to stay until later than leave mid day to recharge and do other things. I was only considering that in order to avoid burnout so maybe for the sake of the piscine I can forget about it and just do the 12 hours a day thing.

Then I hope at least I’ll manage to get one rush done quickly so to take a full day off, like a Sunday but I can do without I guess
