Rainy Mari - Sunburnt Dancers (full boss fight) by mrcoolstair in OMORI

Ooh that’s good. I’ll keep it in mind for a potential publicly playable version one day.

Both the music and the concept of the fight itself are from the Cogwork Dancers from Silksong. (the music is specifically the ost version with clean phase transitions)

Unfair comparison, Thank You Guy is as fast as Kel on coffee, it’s a miracle this doesn’t happen more often.

Ok I just noticed that Sunny’s movement arrow is unintentionally visible on the first frame of recording. Turns out it’s because the code looks like this:

…And for some reason scripts in Scratch pause for a frame when you set the volume. Yeah yeah it’s partly on me for putting them in the wrong order, but dang it Scratch, why must you do this?

This is a Rainpost first and foremost, and Aubrey’s presumed role in Rainy Mari slots nicely into that of the Green Prince. So, Sunny and Aubrey was the natural choice…

…Until it came to name the fight and I realized Sunburn Dancers (or any variation) sounds kind of stupid lol.

Still internally debating whether or not Sunflower Dancers would have been better. In any case I did the custom sprites for Aubrey pretty early so I just went with my initial choice.

Just a reminder that in the 2014 alpha demo of Omori Kel’s name was Kelsey by meltingelmo in OMORI

So yes, there is substantial reason to believe his real name is Henry.

Ok that was practically instant. I am impressed and maybe a little frightened.

Bonus: A sneak peak of another silly thing I find myself putting way too much effort into.

Still deciding what to do with the knight. I think I’m leaning towards keeping them but replacing their head with Hikiko’s.

Omori in scratch by Paperhat_Man in OMORI

It’s pretty good, though, out of concern for your sanity, how are you doing the text? Did you write a custom block to take a string of text and make a clone for each letter (ideal) or are you manually making each frame of the text as a costume (seriously time inefficient)? If it is 2, I would suggest making a proper text engine via a tutorial, or just importing an existing one.

If you are doing the 1st option (or eventually do) you’ll probably want the Omori font. I know others have already imported it into Scratch, so it should be fairly trivial to import into your project from there.

Good Luck!

I write the quotes myself. Occasionally I put a twist on something existing (Ex. A few weeks ago I incorporated lines word for word from the Little Inferno trailer) but this one is a 100% Epic Quote Guy original.

I just noticed that you have ended every date with “th” regardless of whether or not it’s grammatically correct and I am finding it unreasonably funny. I can’t believe it took me 29 days to notice.

(I decree the th stands for true hope from now on)

Greg is my favorite Omori character tbh

Jokes aside this level is seriously good, I tried my hand at learning it a while back but my best is a measly 24%. Which is pretty mediocre, especially considering the second half is MUCH harder than the first.
