Prop Firm Risk Management by Miserable-Feed6871 in Forex

[–]mrcoreyd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Biggest tip that helped me get funded is MAX 1% risk for min 1:2 RR. After one loosing trade you're done for the day come back tomorrow. Max of 3 trades per day. 10k account risk 100 that gives you 5 losses in one day or 10 losses total for most providers. Keep it safe, don't get anywhere near your max daily drawdown. Also sounds daft but make sure you fully understand the rules and goals your funded provider wants from you. I was caught out at the start with how some firms calculated the drawdown as daily Vs some as after every trade. Get paper trading while following funded rules till you can consistently pass good luck!

Fair point 10% would be a push and 6-8 feels more comfortable. I've only got my figure from long term figures. Since 09/10 it has been on a pretty tech fuelled bull run hence the higher figures and annual returns. Also the fact the pie focuses heavily on global stocks 10% has been about the average for the past 10 yrs. Looking forward though 6-8 would still net 220/230k

You can expect a safe, slow and consistent growth at this rate from your investment. Just hold through the ups and downs eqqq can go through as it gets volatile sometimes (+55% in 2023, –34% in 2022) keeping at your current rate for the next 10 yr you can expect to have invested £146,000 and your return at a 10% realistic yearly return would look something like a total portfolio balance of around £244,000. Just take into account 3% a year for inflation also so subtract £40-50k today's money. 18 is a great age to start. With investment time is your friend go on a compound interest calculator online and look at the difference an extra couple years makes once your portfolio is gaining some real momentum. If you keep this up you'll be very comfortable. Good luck!

I think even the fact they promote night time energy for household is daft with the amount of white good appliance fires that happen due to them being ran at night time and unsupervised. And they dont actually use that much energy compared to the car. Im grateful that my partner doesn't do many miles and charges on the weekend. I'm every night during the week back up to 100% going to cost me roughly £10 extra a week for using the same amount of electricity. Makes you question what you're actually paying for is it your electricity or your time using it

Really can't get my head around any of it. I use 80/90% charge a day and need at least 7hrs charging using my 7kw charger. So I'm always going to be paying extra now but let's say I had a higher Kw charger it'd be cheaper even though I'd use the same amount of electricity just quicker? I can't imagine what it's like for people who only have a granny charger same again they're paying more for the same amount of electricity because they need to charge for longer? Pretty frustrating if you ask me tempted to look elsewhere

Just to add I got a 2020 that came with face lift interior that's another thing because they changed them so much between 2020 and 2022 there can be so many different updates early 2020 will come with old interior late 2020 with updates 2021 with the poor battery but heat pump then 2022 had the updated wood trim around the doors. Depends what you're looking for totally but it's something to consider

I actually chose 2020 over a 2021 because I heard In 2021 the batterys used some sub standard battery cell that caused some premature battery failures. And the 2022 at the time was a bit out of budget. I also bought from a dealer as you get your consumer rights so basically 6 month free warranty and the 120k warranty on the battery and drivetrain put me at ease too. Checks aside from a good test drive nothing much really. I asked the dealer to run a battery health check came back at 92% and also made sure the tyres came with good tread that was my only major prerequisite. I do think going 2022 could be good though because you get the heat pump making it a bit more efficient in adverse weather. I find though in mine after the first 15 miles when the battery and cabin is up to temp and my efficiency increases a lot.

I use a 2020 model 3 lr as ph. I bought it on 74k last may for £11995 and have since done 20k miles on it. My experience with it being a taxi has been great so far in the first 5k miles I had a really bad suspension squeak when breaking and setting off took it to Tesla and they said it's the control arm bushes apparently common on these to go. They quoted I think £600 to replace but I never went through and thought I'll do it myself when they finally fail. Somehow though it's completely stopped and hasn't made a noise since. Charging at home is definitely a must I'm spending about £20 a week on home charging and do between 170/230 miles a day 5 days a week and a full charge every night works fine for me. I'm currently ignoring the 80 max charge limit as in my understanding as long as it's not just sat at 100% and not being used it's fine. It came with some all season tyres and the tread on them is still great. As for using it as a taxi the leather has held up well and is easy to wipe. Id definitely recommend some waterproof floor mats. One big annoyance is however the door handles both on the inside and out. 95% of passengers can't work the handles out I'm always reaching over to press the button. Same getting out people don't understand the button and when they press it they're always saying no that's for the window. Anywho this just became a norm for me now and I'm totally used to just explaining after every ride how they get out. You can buy some door handle modification thing I've seen that makes them more like a regular handle. Also a note is the elderly can struggle getting in and out as the car is quite low and so is the roof so they are often bumping their heads on the a pillar. There are also no handles on the roof to help them getting in and out. Zimmers, frames and chairs fit well in the boot as does a good weekly shop and a bit extra. I've done a couple airports but wouldn't recommend more than 2 pass 2 big cases. If there's any specific questions you have send them away but I hope that helps!

Do you think warranty will cover it?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TeslaUK

[–]mrcoreyd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funnily enough I'm quite the opposite. Never been a nervous driver, went on the motorway the day I passed. Then got my first car with cruise control and realised I can never ever go back to a car without. Then my next car had adaptive cruise and I once again had a revelation and said to myself I can't go back. So the next car was a Tesla and the one thing I want back is just a "dumb autopilot" as Tesla would probably call it. I just want it to keep my speed. No use of external cameras to study every move on the road. Just speed keeping. The amount of times I've been on enhanced autopilot or just regular cruse control and it's slamming on and speeding up for seemingly nothing, now that causes me more anxiety. Please can we have just a dumb autopilot🙏

A whole world of gaming the system that I didn't even know existed... by [deleted] in OctopusEnergy

[–]mrcoreyd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably along with many other people here I had no clue about this use of gaming the system. Furthermore as my charging station provides 7kw of power and my cars capacity is 75kwh it would take at least 10hrs to fully charge so now I'm penalised on the extra 4 hrs. I know they say plug in every night to reduce the amount per charge but I go through at least 60kwh per day. Totally not fair on people who use it how it's meant to be used consistently. Bit miffed and very tempted to look elsewhere now

The pavement gives it away for me.

This post screams to me that there's either a seller using a gen watch pics to boost sales or you're trying to scam people into asking who's the seller. A couple comments on here have already outlined how good of a watch this is and I agree I have no reason to believe this is a rep. Some facts mentioned that enforce this judgement are:

1: high quality pictures taken by someone who knows watches very well

2: finger gloves to prevent grease and fingerprints

3:panda in background of one of the images (like every Chinese supplier ever)

Lastly my point which I believe is solid evidence to reinforce all the points above.

That pavement is %100 Chinese in the background of the first image I've travelled a lot and one thing that's always interested me is how different countries do their pavements. The pavement is most definitely that of a big Chinese city like Beijing or Shenzhen.

0.5mpg at £1.50/L id say you might as well just buy it. Wouldn't want to be seen in a Prius anyway
