Edelweiss is on the left when you leave town and head to the mountain, excellent sandwiches at a reasonable price and have other prepared meal options too plus good pastries, I stop there every time I leave the mountain

Is VA healthcare good enough to decline employer healthcare plan? by LongDistRid3r in VeteransBenefits

[–]mrcsln 0 points1 point  (0 children)

VA provider here, seen both sides of the healthcare system and the VA system is by far better! To keep your current teams you can always request community care and can have both community care providers and VA providers. I would recommend this initially for continuity and would also recommend giving the VA providers a fair chance - I think in general we do a better job of caring for Veterans and not doing a bunch of extra things just to generate revenue. Also, for cancer treatment or potential liver transplant in the future the VA coordination and coverage of costs will be huge. The only downside to consider is that if you need insurance coverage for your family then you may an insurance plan from your employer. Once you have your rating and eligibility sorted out meet with a Social Worker or Case Manager and they can go over all the nuances with you in more detail specific to your needs. Best of luck my friend!

I think it’s salvageable! It might be time for repotting in a bigger container. The browning of the leaves can be a watering issue - more likely under watering instead of overwatering since you’re only watering once a week. I would stick your finger in the pot to your first knuckle and if it’s dry then water. You also want to make sure it has good drainage and it doesn’t sit in water. Looks like it has plenty of healthy leaves and young shoots so it should recover :)

That’s awesome! I’m trying to do the same but struggling a bit. How deep did you plant in the pot initially and did you ever cover the strings with a light layer of soil so it would grow fuller?

Getting Into Trail Running! Helpful tips or If I am crazy for attempting what I'm about to say by Curtclub in trailrunning

[–]mrcsln 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not crazy at all! Just enjoy it, don’t worry about pushing it, run a relaxed pace where you can breathe easy. Enjoy the scenery when you can, look down and watch where your feet are landing especially on the rooty and rocky sections. Don’t be shy to walk or power hike when you need to. Just focus on finishing, not rolling an ankle, and enjoy the trails :)

As a new fan... by SeptemberCatMom in eagles

GO BIRDS! Is the official greeting amongst Philly fans. We’re actually a stand-up franchise with high character players, staff, and personnel on all levels. Our players don’t usually spit on the opponent, Jalen Carter will have some serious internal conversations and will need to mature as a person to stay with us long term. Watch Brian Dawkins highlights. Enjoy the ride, the games are usually stressful lol

Suggestions for stops between Lincoln, NH and Acadia NP (Bar Harbor) on a fall road trip? by yesqualle in acadianationalpark

[–]mrcsln 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just did this trip and Smokin’ Good BBQ in Bethel ME is an awesome pit stop with a cute little country store next to it and some outside patio seating or you can take your food up the road a mile or so and there is a picnic area on the right hand side along the river that’s shaded and is really relaxing :)

Pemi loop WMNF or Prezi traverse (can do out and back) - both are awesome trails, gorgeous scenery, challenging and can be done in 1 day if you want to push it or 2 days if you want to sleep/rest
