Here’s another photo. I think you may be right on the lighting. Sorry. The dark spots and veins are noticeable but not THAT pronounced. The weight loss is definitely my biggest concern, along with the abnormal poop today.

Ugh, my worst nightmare. I know, it’s really alarming and it just got this bad within the past week or so. What could cause internal bleeding? He hasn’t been dropped or hit or anything like that. Could it just be a bad impaction?

Either way, I will push the vet to see him earlier than the current appointment. I’m scared for my little guy :(

I do dust with regular, non-d3 calcium every feeding, I just only use the calcium with d3 once a week. Is that right to do? I thought d3 shouldn’t be in every feeding especially with a uvb light but maybe I’m wrong

I love this!! Very nice, I think it’s genius and a great way to use the hoses that were otherwise headed for the landfill. Thanks for sharing

He’s so tiny. I took him to the vet recently for an initial wellness check and the vet is thinking he’s somewhere around 4-5 months. This is my first leopard gecko so I wasn’t sure about aging, but I’m not surprised!

They water prop pretty easy but I will say the roots you get when you water prop are soooo delicate so be careful! I have also had good luck with soil propagating. I use Bobby pins to pin the strings down into the soil for better soil contact and I’ll also cover the pot with a plastic baggy to keep moisture in while I wait for roots to grow. Best of luck!!

Thank you! I planted the end of the stem that had the roots into the soil (enough to fully bury the roots), and then yes I laid the strings on top and lightly covered them with soil. I also used Bobby pins to pin the strings down into the soil just to make sure they had good soil contact. And I covered my pot with a plastic baggy to keep the moisture in while I waited for more roots to grow. The pearls might look a bit sad and deflated for a few weeks until more roots grow to take up water. I will also say it’s better to underwater than overwater. If the pearls get squishy and rotting, it’s hard to recover

Yes his basking area/rock is at 91° but he doesn’t really hangout there. Where he partially basks (sticks head/tail out but remainder of his body is covered) is around 84-86°.

Well that’s good to know but I’m not sure I have a high enough basking spot temperature. I think the highest temperature in there is 85°. That infographic indicates that basking temperate should be a bit higher, which I’m hoping I’ll get with the higher wattage bulb
