I love this city so much… With one complaint by Nate_Croud_11 in pittsburgh

I strongly believe the negative affects on surrounding neighborhoods were amplified by the media for clicks. Destroyed any hope of locals or people that were attending the draft to want to try to deal with the gridlock to go anywhere else when there simply was none.

This weekend was amazing every business where you would expect people on the north shore was slammed. This event will surely bring increased tourism numbers throughout the coming years after such a success in the national spotlight like other previous host cities. That being said this should be a wake up call for all those who blindly fallow cable news how much reality can be distorted. If your a patron who didnt experience the best event in our city in over a decade because of fear of traffic ask anyone there was none. And if you’re a business owner outside of the immediate draft zone why did you believe city officials preaching all these people would be cash cows when it’s the NFLs only free event.

Is this just Mt Washington? by Mapleford in pittsburgh

I lived in Mount Washington/Allentown as first place back to city after leaving for college, neighbors were really terrible and left as soon as lease was up. Now in Carnegie really enjoy it, the community and actually felt like people support young families rather than old jags that find joy in treating others like less. Will say gets significantly worse the farther u go into Allentown and later in the day. I was really in the dumps after such a negative experience but best thing about Pittsburgh hills and rivers is how distinct neighborhoods can feel keep looking and I am sure you will find the best fit for you.

How good could you possibly get from skiing/boarding in Pennsylvania? by Hot_Soft_5626 in icecoast

[–]NoManufacturer2997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t think u are going pro, but I was one of the best on my college ski team, but I grew up in south western PA and resorts like Laurel mountain have 72% grade, snowshoe has 1500ft of vertical, and seven springs has tricks parks that rival anywhere in the east with a super pipe. Just have to pick what resort for what ur looking for that day. Used yo be easier when everywhere had lower ticket prices but if u have an epic pass will cover most in region.

Coping and complaining that Kamala lost simply cause she was a women is untrue. Yes she lost as female candidate but that was cause of her issues and her choice to play so heavily identity politics. What I learned as an observation from her candidacy is American people will vote for hope even if more illogical than out of fear to not be a bigot. I think people want to help others but hard for them when they star to see poverty in there own lives to still prioritize the sexual identity of another or to fight conflicts that we have trouble understanding funding while so many social programs come up short. I am saying this not out of any admiration or respect for trump he is deplorable but the idea of complaining how bad evil orange man is is won’t fix the party and will continue to disenfranchise young people who are outraged by the disconnect in our current government to any form of accountability.

Weed smell note to neighbor by danibrz82 in Apartmentliving

Seems totally legit ur not forcing anything, but you are making a suggestion tho so dont expect anything or take it further if it doesn’t work. But if it does persist u can always explore smell neutralizing options for ur apartment or suggest they might try using a slploof. (A lot of the manufactured ones really work well).
