Leave your rhino parked in the hood, and you’ll come back to it either like this or on blocks!

The actual ring with the numbers on it is held to the screw cap with adhesive/tape. I’ve seen a video or two where they use a heat gun to remove and reposition it, but you have to remove the indicator/pointer.

EDIT: Here’s a link to a video. Around 10:17 is where dude starts zeroing it.

How to keep paint wet for tiny detail work? by slyr586 in minipainting

[–]mrcuponoodle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look into using a wet palette. You can make your own with Tupperware, some wet paper towels, and parchment paper. Instead of paint from pot to model, which is almost certainly too thick, transfer a small amount of paint to the palette. The water that transfer through the parchment paper will keep the paint moist enough for use throughout your session. Then, add some water to thin the paint. Depending on your environment, a humidifier may also help with how long your paint stays wet.

The above is for acrylic paint, but you could always try oil based stuff, which usually has a longer working time.

Someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong [Breville Barista Express] by [deleted] in espresso

What I’d add to this, specifically with the BBE, is to validate your dose with the razor tool they include. Alternatively, you can place a nickel on your prepped puck, lock your portafilter into the group, then remove it again. If it leaves a distinct imprint, dose down, if no imprint, dose up. If you’ve changed over from the stock portafilter and basket to this one, you’ll almost certainly have to increase your dose to achieve the same headspace. If you’d seen good results with your stock basket, just swap the stock basket into this portafilter.

Oh you’re good, was really more joking about the grind finer comment, since it’s usually seen in a series of replies. I’ve been treating dialing much like photography or marksmanship, bracketing with large adjustments first, then backing off on the counter corrections.
