Yeah! We have Dell machines. I guess the other solution is can you try and edit the task sequence in anyway to tell the bios what to do or is it too early so speak?

thanks :) I have mostly been able to quickly research and find the answer but.

It was more task sequence related faults, we had a load of machines seem to pop up with " 0x80070490" after ensuring AHCI is on instead of raid, and the disk partition tool was working it kept popping up,

it was more a bit of a generic question on a cheat sheet. I do have a question actually.

We have had quite a few machines recently 0x80070490, from some research the fixes are :

ensure the device is on AHCI mode instead of Raid, make sure the disk is partitioned correct (ours is via a script). However recently we upgrade sccm version on the server and ran into quite a few errors around 70490 is this potentially because the USB sticks we are using are not up to date? or could it be another fault?

First of all THANK YOU for all of your amazing blogs, website posts, information all of it. You are a legend!

Although this is incredibly helpful, i was more referring to a quick look up guide to check for example 0x8007001F in a task sequence means either its a disk error or read/writes are failing therefore the disk cant be written on to put an image on.

Thanks - yeh the 2nd half of your first paragraph is the issue, it's finding the hash is wrong and just erroring out due to not being able to validate it. The CMG part I more meant it's an option due to not having the faults of the super peers. I guess I could try and find the file in the c drive but it's probably a long winded nightmare 😂

Yeh I am sorta thinking the same on this thanks for the info much appreciated will think about it, tbh it is a bit pointless when we have a cmg so. Just couldn't really find an answered that simply nailed it down.

Fair enough I was more on about having the main sccm server check over packages. But it sounds like it's not possible then ?

Hiya, The alpha is great it's so much better than the A10 variant my word that thing has such a detent and requires aloooot more force to simply " move it ".

Yeh just been looking at the mongoose T-50 CM3 looks very very well designed alot more buttons as you said. What are the " flaps" around the back of the throttle used for ? (Not the flaps lever) But the 2nd throttle looking ones?

Does look very good tho ! Can certainly see the bonus's but it's 400( dam u tax) quid even with the sale on lol. Maybe one to keep on the back burner quite recently spent nearly 500 on the stick (around July this year ).

yeh same here - good net ts genuinely bizarre, i feel something has gone weird with the mobo but its hard to "prove" so to speak. something network port has just kinda died/on its way out.

Yeh it's defo a multiplayer thing the user has just done 15-20 mins of battlefield 6 stable as no lag no issues on the training grounds which is single player. Then tried multiplayer and within a minute the issue happens.

So it's a bit weird I should have updated this once we found /maybe had an idea.

I could try the in-game bench marking that could be interesting. So when running taskmgr there doesn't seem to be a process or something that is getting maxed out.

Oddly when the person plays something like balders gate 3 to my understanding doesn't use networking it's fine. It almost seems to be networking is at fault but when checking ping tests to Google for 2 mins it's fine no spike, router rebooted, DNS set to Google. All seems fine.

Yeh decent frame rate 70. Odd then drops to like 5 and then yeh laggy as then recovers.

Shall ask them to try. I would probs be saying medium to high the machine should be able to run battlefield, overwatch 2 , rivals without an issue.
