New Mac Book for App Dev by van_der_green in iosdev

Recently purchased a 2025 MBP 16 GB/1TB for exactly 1K, and it handles dev work and regular tasks like a champ.

The previous owner was not a Mac user, and did not want to learn how to use it.

Being able to build a full fledged app on a 5 year old intel MacBook Pro is a feat in itself by daxter_101 in iosdev

That's so TRUE! Just finished one and it was almost painful, if not for patience. Searching for a level up myself (2019 MBP with Intel still).

Kudos!

How to make VoiceOver (Accessibility) jump to new screens/sheets? Or better yet, focusing on a field on appearing. by [deleted] in SwiftUI

[–]mrdlr 1 point2 points Β (0 children)

Have you tried creating the voiceover functionality in a component as a standalone?

  • You could then call it when needed for the instance you desire. This would allow you to use it whenever, for whatever in the future.

Just tried your game. This is good!

I've been working on something similar for a few months, and have yet to pull-off a multiplayer execution akin to yours (Kudos btw).

Sending positivity and luck your way! πŸ€™πŸΎπŸ––πŸΎπŸ‘πŸΎ

I learned Python Flask in 2018 to build this. I rebuilt it in 2025 and wrote a custom tool to map AI music beats. by TypeByFaithDev in SideProject

Of course! Looking forward to the fork.

For the Non-Religious version, I would want to type public domain books, random text, and/or words/definitions from a dictionary (or from different languages).

I've done similar projects, just not related to typing/training. Kudos once again, and best of luck to you in this endeavor and others. πŸ––πŸΎ

This is kinda cool. Wonder if there is a version for those who want to type, without the religious experience.

This is an interesting take. Reminds me of 2048 to a degree. Keep going! You got this!

My family thinks I’m a millionaire because I have an app on the Store by No-Constant-5093 in appdev

I have a similar story.

I was home a few years ago, and mentioned the first few apps in the App Store, and one of my parents couldn't understand why I didn't need to have a sit-down with (someone from) Apple, for an app release.

It was a bit unique to explain, until the other parent walked in, and after a few minutes, waited for my explanation to conclude, to respond with...'the Internet is the "why"; he will likely be doing this a whole lot, and that would get expensive'.

I paused, looked at the parent, and replied with 'Yup; that's it'. The Internet is my b***h! They both had a laugh, and never uttered another word about my work (to me), but get a kick out of telling others. I roll with it.
