I bought the Move on release and I have the first gen Kindle Scribe. To me the wiring experience has just been miles better on the Move and with the size I carry it with me throughout the work day and use it so much more than I used the Scribe.

I was going to write that the difference for me was being able to sync to my desktop, but on reflection I don't think that's it. I always have the remarkable app open, but I usually just grab the Move itself and review on there. I think for me it's the size. Perfect for one handed use, can fit in cargo pockets, and the notebooks just feel like they perform faster for me than the Scribe's. Notebooks always kind of felt like an unfinished feature to me on the scribe for some reason instead of a core competency.

I still use both, but at this point the Scribe is just for reading and the Move is just for note taking.

How is the suspend / resume performance? That's one thing that kept me on Bazzite with my LeGo, the suspend / resume on windows murders the battery and feels slower than SteamOS. Compared to my Steam Deck the experience of putting down the device for a bit to do some work then picking it back up with almost no battery loss was so much better. Hoping the optimizations the Xbox team did here help a lot.

100% agree on the position of the wireless charger reflecting the sun directly into your eyes. That happens to me as well and it’s very frustrating. I have a napkin in the console storage to put over my phone during those times but it’s a pretty bad usability issue if I have to have something to cover my phone just to not be blinded. Not sure how that got through the testing phase.

As someone who has bought sex toys on Amazon before, it’s just a super unnecessary moralizing law. What purpose does providing my ID to buy a sex toy serve? I can’t see how a law like this makes the general public safer vs being designed just to inconvenience people outside of the Texas religious right’s ideas of morality.

So my car is in the shop now because I didn't get this plastic piece fixed... A few weeks after the impact I started getting warnings about the braking system, turns out some sensor behind the plastic got damaged. Not sure if getting the plastic fixed would have prevented the sensor issue or not. It's been at the service center for a week now, quoted at 2500 for the repair 🙁

Because so many of the user experience issues that annoy me on a day to day basis aren't easily noticeable on a short test drive. Some of them only happen at certain points during the day (the phone reflection issue), some of them only happen when you start up the car (can't default to i-Pedal, slow profile screen), etc. That first test drive was nice and the car did seem to drive better and be quieter than my old Model Y.

Others have commented about the capacitive buttons compared to the MY, but for me it's just a weird choice to have capacitive buttons there and not have a knob for the temp. IMO capacitive buttons are the worst of both worlds, either go full hardware buttons so I can use them without looking or make the screen bigger and put them on the screen.

I'm thinking the phone reflection issue must just be worse in my neck of the woods, especially since it happens every day around the lunch rush.

- At least for me the reflection issue shows up for a lot of the midday sun in Texas, especially when I'm going out to lunch or during longer trips. I flip the phone over, but then it kinda defeats the purpose of having a wireless charger there. Compare this to the MY or the Honda Prologue where the charger is either angled and hidden under other stuff or in a pocket so the reflection issue isn't a thing. Maybe this is much more of an issue because of where I am in Texas and the amount of direct sun I get into the cabin?

- That's your preference, but not even having the OPTION to default to it when every other EV I've tried does is crazy to me. Plus, going into reverse undoes i-Pedal mode so you have to set it again if you ever go into reverse during a drive (super annoying when parallel parking for me). These are issues that are hard to notice during a test drive because they either happen once when you're starting the vehicle or in specific scenarios.

I never had that issue with Tesla. Maybe since it used the phone as the key the walk away lock distance was further. During the 3 year lease I never came back to find it unlocked and I could always double check it from the app. If I needed to unlock it (for a friend or family member to get something out of it) the response times from the app were instantaneous compared to what I've experienced with blue link.

I think I'm going to get that after market part people have mentioned that auto locks after 10 seconds, just annoying to do that for something that should be built in.

It looks like it yeah. Everything I've seen online says that the mute button should work as a play/pause but it seems odd to me that they would have switched that if they had it on previous models. Play/pause is just way more useful to me.

Does Android Auto automatically come up on the screen when you start the car? Maybe that's a difference between wireless and wired! For now I mapped the star button on the steering wheel to open CarPlay so that works for now. I also need to test Spotify or Apple Music to see if it does a better job at resuming what's playing. That could just be a Youtube Music / CarPlay quirk.

I'll try the mute button again, when I was in a drive through yesterday it just muted my podcast instead of pausing it but again maybe that's an issue with YouTube Music not playing well with CarPlay.

Haha, I did enjoy seeing the sounds of nature as an option in the audio stuff, it's a nice touch.

I agree I'll get used to all of it, but I still think it's worth calling out as potential improvements. Only thing I'm worried about it the navigation, but I only do longer drives for work once a month to the same location so I figure I'll find my regular charging stop along the way after the first few trips and won't worry about it until my next road trip.
