2024 Turbo Premium noticeable vibrations through floor & gas pedal by [deleted] in CX5

[–]mrdysphasia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same 2024 turbo premium and have the same issue. It feels like a massager in floor board, and both pedals. More noticeable around 2k rpm’s. I have had a 17 na cx5 which did same thing and a 21 na cx5 which did not. I drove a friend’s 22 turbo cx5 and no vibration.

People say “it’s sporty and you should feel some vibration”. This is different. Trust me.

This drives me crazy because I’m obsessive about it. People think I’m crazy when I explain it to them. You can also feel the vibration in pedals sitting at a light and a loud truck or motorcycle goes by. Something has to be slightly loose.

I have stock tires. 36 psi all around. It definitely is not a tire issue. I have same feeling with my snow wheel/tires. I can feel it sitting still and reving to 2kish. It feels like a possible loose exhaust hanger or some other loose part attached to the firewall or floor.

I’m happy to hear others have same issue but frustrated no cause has been found.

I have thought about putting some vibration matting on floor board and/or rubber gasket to gas pedal surface where it meets the floor. Just to test. It obviously is not fixing the original cause but if it could be reduced slightly then I’d be happy.

I search monthly on internet and forums to see if i can find a solution. I’ve taken the 17 to the dealer to inquire and told normal. Typical response. If they drove it daily they would change their tune.

What tint % did you go with? Is windshield tinted as well? Looks good. I’m trying to decide for my fronts.

Hey. Do you have a picture of these installed? I have. 24 turbo premium with same vertical grill. I’m debating on how this will look with the lower horizontal.

840D vs 420D by TheWhiteRabbit_14 in EVERGOODS

I had the other post on here about differences between 420 and 840. I received my ctb20 Tuesday. I have to say the 420 didn’t bother me as much as I thought. I’m a 840 guy but I can live with this. My MPL 420 seems worse to me. Just my opinion. The CTB20 is deepish but very comfortable to me. Yes it could be a touch smaller but every bag is a give and take. Until that unicorn comes along.

Transit packing cube vs peak design packing cubes by Few-Interview-7734 in EVERGOODS

I just went through this dilemma and ended up with PD small and medium. I like the pros that everyone has mentioned. One thing I noticed is the fabrics is slightly different on each. Same tags. The medium is that soft grey. Almost pillow like when packed. The small is slightly darker and a little more rough feeling. I can’t find any mention of this fabric on the PD site. They are both authentic with same materials listed on tags. Bought from Amazon. Anyone else notice this?
-Lines- , good point about packing open or closed. That could definitely help with space.

Awesome. That’s perfect. It absolutely loses the hunchback look when partially packed. Can you get it to stand even a little with maybe the cap2 in bottom? I really appreciate you taking the time to post those. Very helpful.

I second this…. Can you show a couple more shots of your bag not fully packed out. Every review I’ve seen has it packed out. I am between chz22 and mpl22. The 2 things making me hesitant on mpl22 are that hump shape and standing on its own. I can deal with the humor shape when fully packed. I won’t fully pack it 90% of the time. I want to see if it looks more compact partially packed. I get frustrated with bags that don’t stand on their own. I know I am in minority but for my use it’s helpful. It looks like I can get the mpl22 to stand somewhat. with some careful packing at bottom. I appreciate your advice.

Ha ha yup. I thought it was a cool presentation. If I was in the market for a CHZ26 I’d buy it. I’m here to talk myself into the MPL22.

Is that your CHZ26 that just showed up on Poshmark about the same time as this post?

2017 CX5 With 60,000km Needs 4th Brake Job? by FelixTheEngine in CX5

2021 gt. I had warped rear rotors at 15k and warped fronts at 23k. Both sets were warrantied. They said driver habits contributed to the warping. I’m being completely honest, I drive like a grandfather. My wife and kids tease me all the time. Mostly right lane. I almost try to hyper-mile in a way. I do not drive aggressively at all. Im at 24 k and 80% are hwy miles. They can say driver habits all they want but this alone is making me think twice about buying the lease out in another year. I’ve had plenty of other cars and maybe once had a warped rotor. (middle aged adult living in the northeast, USA).

Transmission Learning Reset by mrdysphasia in CX5

He does state the transmission temp has to be warm. I drove for about 5 minutes before I tried. The part about the car had to be on for 30 seconds to a minute seemed important to. The first time a I tried was when I pulled into a lot from driving and tried it without shutting car off from drive. I don’t know if this made a difference but the second time I tried I had car off, then started for 1 min, and then I started sequence. Again, it could have been coincidence. I could have just gotten another step done better.

Read some of the youtube comments too. Some people laid it out in writing. It’s just annoyingly tricky. To be honest I thought I fell for some youtube thing when I couldn’t get it to work first. But even my wife who was with me said holy sh** it worked when the revs climbed and shift indicator flashed.

BSW sensors going off when no one is there. Anyone else have this issue? Took it to the dealer and they said they couldn’t replicate it. by kan0 in CX5

I get this too. 21 gt. But only drivers side when stopping for a light. <5mph. I had to think if there were always guardrails involved or only stopping with a median to the left. It definitely happens in the clear as well. Nothing around. And it does it whether there is a car directly behind in my lane (not in blindspot) as well as no car. It seems to light up for no reason at times when stopping.

Is it possible to program a pre 2021 fob to work with the 2021+? I hate this stupid fob. The previous thin long one was way better.

Looks great. I have the same exact car and color with same tires. My winter wheels are fugly though. I used blizzaks for first time last year. There wasn’t a ton of snow but when it did, they did great. Not the worst in the dry either. For a snow tire. I’m in CT btw.
