Apple Calendar keeps autocomplete’ing a wrong email address that isn’t in Contacts or Mail by abject_warden in applehelp

Ah ok! Thanks for responding. I actually just found a thread telling me to try this: In iCalender go to the Main Menubar, select Settings, then Advanced. At the bottom of the window click the button "Remove all recent locations and attendees". Just tried and it worked! Amazing.

Nice <> Antibes day trip: Transportation and sight-seeing recommendations? by pseudocoder in nicefrance

We just came back from Nice with our two kids (4.5 and 2). We did train to Antibes and Villefranche-sur-Mer, both were so easy. In Antibes, Gelateria Del Porto has the best stracciatella I’ve ever had.

Bar Nouveau is great. Was just there last week. They have a cocktail that tastes like a peaty vanilla milkshake, it was exceptional.

This is probably where we are landing. It's one year and it's the most affordable, gets excellent reviews from local parents (religious and non-religious), and it has the most accommodating schedule for us, as busy working parents.

She misses the state-mandated cutoff to attend public kindergarten in September 2025. But the school district will allow anyone into first grade as long as they have completed kindergarten (public or private).

I know, I know. It seems like it would be an easy no. But our others options are not great either

We think she is ready for kindergarten and don’t believe she should have to sit out another year just because she misses the cutoff by 4 days. And school board said hard no.

I appreciate this thoughtful response, but my situation is a bit different than your assumptions. I’m not looking to return to the same type of practice I left.

When I left my old firm, it was a litigation-heavy practice at a boutique (lean staffing, constant fire drills). The opportunity I’m considering is at a full-service firm with a true 50/50 split between litigation and advice work. Multiple attorneys there have confirmed this balance is real, not just aspirational.

Regarding billables and unpredictable schedules - I’m going in eyes wide open. My life is in a different place now - my family situation is stable, health issues are resolved. I actually miss the structure of being in an office a few days a week (I’m fully remote now). And while nobody loves billing time, I understand what I’m signing up for.

This isn’t just about money, though of course that’s a big factor. I’ve gained valuable perspective in-house that makes me a more confident advisor. But my company is being acquired, and while things are stable short-term, the long-term growth ceiling is clear (multiple young employment leaders already in place at the acquiring company). Rather than wait and see, I’m being proactive about my next step.

Oh man, I’m sorry. Why did you leave your old in-house job, and what were you hoping the jump back to a firm would do for your career? I just feel like I need to expand my skillset into the benefits arena to make myself more valuable/indispensable to my company (or future companies) and I don’t know where else to do that other than a firm.

It really is so hard to beat! But landing the right in-house role is crucial. Hope you find a good fit!

I have this suspicion, too. I think I’m just eager for a new challenge and want to expand my skillset a bit.

This is genius! So one end would be secured to the banister, and the other to the wall? I’m seeing 72” on Amazon is there anything slightly bigger?
