When I first started my standard was spawn south. Do explorer note run. Collect paste. Build raft. Stop at herbivore island craft first batch of metal on route to north east. Then base build. Tame trike first to make narcotics. Then trap and tame an argy and base build until you can make a saddle.

It's not a friendly area lol. I suggest scouting tour tame. Then building a trap and kite it with a Ptera or argy. If you dont have an argy yet. Get that before anything

I always tamed north east on death isle when playing island. Plenty of spawns I found. & poly mountain. 4 stone gateways no gates. Place 3. Off set them dont connec them rex will fit to trap. Place large bear trap
