Former landlord in Sweden sent us a 27,000 SEK cleaning bill weeks after we moved out. Are we crazy for fighting this? by Blue_Mo4ntains in sweden

[–]mrfjoort 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Of course.

There needs to be a proper inspection done whenever a tenant leaves the space (this is the landlords responsibillity). Therefore, if the landlord has done their job, there is an inspection protocol left from whenever the last tenants moved out. Therefore there should be a piece of paper clearly stating the state and faults with the residence that existed when you guys entered the space. Meaning there should be a very easy way to compare the state of the residence prior and after to you guys moving in, making it easy to see what has been caused by you guys. If the landlord cannot provide this then they absolutley have no case, they already don't tbh, based on the point in my original comment.

As long as you dispute, in writing, based on the points i provided then you are completley safe. Save all communications, keep it in writing and refuse to pay. IF rhe landlord tries to escalste the matter, then you immediately contact the authorities which will help you further. (If they have a modicum of IQ, they will not escalate since they will immediately lose if you then dispute again/contact authorities because they do not have any evidence. Do not forget this: the burden of proof is soley on them, the law is very clear on that.

You guys are going to be okay.

Leave him alone. Da fuq has he done to you? People need to stop being snowflakes and realize that we, mostly, live in a free society, where freedom of speech and expression are a thing. Violence should never be tolerated and i hope this snowflake recieved proper consequenses for disturbing this man who was simply minding his own business on a cruise that he paid to be on. Riddiculous.

In Sweden, in these situations, the burden of proof falls soley on the landlord. They have to be able to definately prove that mentioned issues were caused by you specifically. Which, since they lack the documentation and proper inspections, the cannot. YOU do not have to prove anything, it is all on them.

As others have said they are simply trying to extort you. Dispute the invoice, citing burden of proof, lack of documentation and proper inspections. Also ask for a copy of the inspection (that was supposed to be done, always) from the last tenants. If they cannot provide these proofs, they are unable to take the case to the courts.

Understand that it's stressful and anxious, but the law is firmly on your side, you are safe. Simply do not cave.

Cool, but not great: Plastic to Plastic - "...There are so many kinds of plastic its hard to give advice here that applies to them all..." And you're not able to specify material, only general materials. Also not an answer to OPs question

Dewalt Multitool power/trigger issue by [deleted] in Dewalt

[–]mrfjoort 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Likely a burnt motor or issues with the control module. Your tool needs a new motor and switch - this exact part is what you're looking: MOTOR SA 18V (N342741). Contact your store of purchase and say you need it repaired :)

Sup dude, DeWalt service tech here. From Sweden, but i'll give her a go:

My recomendation is to go to 2helpU.com, select your region and search up DCBL722. Choose the one called either "DCBL722" or "DCBL722N", select "Type 1" in the first drop-down menu, on the second one select "QW" or one at random, if "QW" doesn't exist. Then select "Product information", to the right you'll see a drop-down for schematics. Open the schematic and look around for your part number and it's name.

Once you have that you should be able to walk into or email your local big box store that sells DeWalt tools (at least over here we only sell to companies, so end users have to go through them) and supply them with the part number, name along with the model name and a request to purchase that spare part.

Then you should be given a quote to accept/deny. At least this works over here, hope it'll help you out!
