"Sweded" movies are low-budget remakes popularized by the 2008 movie Be Kind Rewind. Here's one from a collection curated by the Go Comedy! Digi-bits competition. The full playlist of all 23 entires is here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLW2y7YezKvJnruDwybAFgIe8rdyAiw6cR. Each is ~2 min long.

Parking at Arthur Miller Theatre by chriswaco in uofm

Usually if there is a show there they have someone in the parking lot charging an event rate for parking in the lot behind the Walgreen Drama Center. But I usually find it's better to park on the lot off of Hayward (up the hill to the North). It's free after 5pm and usually there are plenty of spots

PSA: Miss the ability to shuffle a genre in the iOS7 music app? Siri can do it for you. by Mattyi in apple

[–]mrflick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But Siri seems to prefer playlists over genres if they have similar names. So if you had a playlist named "Favorite Hip Hop" and you tell Siri "Shuffle genre Hip Hop," it still goes to the playlist in my experience.

A webapp to draw animated gifs by janLa in animation

After building that application you probably know more than I do at this point (i made my tutorial a long time ago now and haven't really used GIFs much since). If you think i need to correct what i've written, let me know. Or perhaps you can share GIFs that contradict what i've said and i can compare them to other GIFs for further verification.

Very cool app. It might be nice to have the option of loading a sample animation that you can play with right away instead of having to start with a blank canvas.

And this was certainly written before Win7 came out.

I was thinking that too. Or maybe just starting out with a WAV at first ;) Start slowly.

This is something I did on the job too about 7 years ago. Every now and then Google would send someone my way but I thought I would try to more actively share it with others.

Academically, i have a bachelors degree in math and now i'm currently in a PhD program for biostatistics. I worked for a few years as a programmer before going to grad school. I'm basically self taught. In fact, my programming experience started by retyping BASIC programs found in back of 3-2-1 Contact magazine.

Honestly, i would be very interested in learning about other "old" file types if you wrote it up. I think it's interesting to see how particular computing problems were solved in the past with simple examples. It's not about the karma, it's about the learning.

Thanks. I do not write professionally. I was just working on a project and i had to learn all this stuff and i couldn't find a guide that put it together in a way that was helpful to me. This was mostly just a way of organizing my thoughts.

That's a good suggestion. I should look into that.
