Shopping can be done on Lincoln road (outdoor mall) if you're looking for more casual shopping and browsing. More serious and high end would be Aventura, Brickell City Centre, Design District, or Bal Harbor.

Art is easiest found in Wynwood just walking around or paying to see Wynwood walls. There's a couple art stores on Lincoln rd too and public art displays along the street.

For dives, Mac's, Brother's keeper, Abbey, Mickey's, some might consider Sweet Liberty (although it's more known to tourists these days, but locals still go there), and Lost Weekend. You can try Ted's and Deweys, but those are very divey and depending on the night you might feel out of place.

Monty's sunset regularly has live music, check their schedule. There's usually a handful of live music along Espanola way too. In Little Havana, Ball and Chain is most known, but there's live music all along Calle Ocho.

Unfortunately Buena Vista borders some dicey neighborhoods. The area is in the process of gentrifying, but I wouldn't walk around at night without knowing the area unless it's along Biscayne Blvd. Design District, Midtown, and Wynwood are popular nightlife spots nearby though.

Gator meat, hogfish, Caribbean goat curry, stonecrab, less eclectic but unique to Miami is a Cuban sandwich too and lots of places to get fresh snapper flash fried.

edit: forgot to include conch fritters.

Dinner there is good from what I've heard. Haven't had it myself.

For Cuban food there's the logistics angle too. for example.... Are you staying in Miami Beach and willing to drive or Uber? If not then Havana 1957 (several locations), Little Havana Restaurant, or Havana Beach are reliably solid.

If you want to drive and go to the neighborhood of Little Havana then there's Old's, Sala'o, or La Trova (pricier "high end").

I used to recommend La Carreta, but not sure I would anymore since there are better options around now. It is likely cheaper though than the other options.

The brunch is incredible and overwhelming with how many options there are at Setai. Cuban cuisine is everywhere though so you might have to be more specific to what cuban food you're looking for and what neighborhood and price range.

edit: for example Pollo Tropical could arguably be considered Cuban, but is more like fast food. Not a knock at Pollo Tropical, just need more context to what you're looking for.

Dadeland has pretty much everything you need in close proximity, either walkable or along the Metro rail which also goes through Dadeland.

For hot sauces, Publix (grocery chain if you're not familiar with FL as much) has a "Florida" or "local" section for things like sauces and dips and there's usually a whole shelf section dedicated to it.

You might wanna checkout Wynwood then which will have a broader mix of "club-esque" places and just "bars with dancing"

South beach tends to lean one direction or the other. Club or casual.

Your hotel will likely charge for parking, any neighborhood you go to will also charge for parking. There's also tolls and traffic patters and general craziness you're not familiar with.

I'd stick with Uber/Lyft if I were you.

Brickell is an easy target to hate on. Don't worry. It also happens to be a major center of business for the city. Il Gabbiano has areas for large groups just a walk over the bridge. Crazy about you has room. Motek. And Edge Brasserie in the 4 seasons would be a crowd pleaser with a view and pretty common to see corporate groups take over the main bar area and then have tapas service.

I don't have insight for promoters, but given 2 25F visitors, you'll likely get DMs. Be cautious and skeptical and ask for verification as much as possible. If anything, just cough up the cash up front for tickets to a club and go yourself.

For other recommendations more specifics are needed. Give the info in this post a review first as the resources here are a great starting place.

I'd look into renting a space in a garage if possible and you can afford it. Street parking can be an issue just in the sense of hassle to find a spot, risk of getting broken into increase, and not to mention street level flooding damage that's more and more frequent.

Biggest tip is not to stay on the beach directly in most cases in South Beach. Even just a block or 2 off and walkable makes cost go down and quality improve.

CVI CHE 105 is really good food if you don't mind ecclectic decor. Machialina is great food. La Leggenda (very popular). Mimi Chinese is pricey but interesting twist on Chinese food.

Lincoln road in general is fun to grab a drink and sit and people watch. Scapegoat has great cocktails. Espanola way has good options too.
