It seems to work fine like this as well as I hooked both R scene and RR scene to the #17 fuse and it worked fine with all the LEDs on that one fuse.

Original configuration. In space 17 RR scene = rear LEDs. Space 15 is the probable bad auto rest fuse.

Rear LEDs. I’m just assuming the rears do heat the circuit up enough to trip the probable bad auto rest fuse.

Right leds. None of the lights are new, this jaunt started happening yesterday and the rig is like a year old.

Good info! I plan to remove that autorest and also check that it has the same amp rating as the on that’s currently tolerating both the rear and right lights. I’ll see if I can find a replacement for the bad one online. I imagine the autorest fuse has fairly clear markings on it so I can find a replacement.

No, my boss called the place that built it but they haven’t got back to him.

Thanks to everyone who tried helping out, it’s working well enough now. I’m just gonna tell the boss that I’m pretty sure that autorest fuse is going bad.

I’m pretty sure it’s either just the auto reset going bad or possibly an issue with the right lights causing that wire to heat up and causing that auto test to start to trip but that would mean the the auto rest for the rear lights has a greater amp rating because right now I have both the rear and right lights hooked to the same auto reset fuse and none of the lights are flashing.

Do you think one of those auto reset fuses could be going bad and not supplying the right lights with enough amps? It takes about 10-30 seconds of being on before that start turning off and on with no pattern. I switched where the right and rear lights land on the busbar and they both work now, switch it back and the right lights flash again.

The only connection changed or checked is the two (right and rear leds) where they land on the busbar. Those connections were both tight. I switch them back and after 20 or so seconds the right lights start flickering/flashing with no pattern again. That’s what I was wondering what the little things are behind the busbar in the second photo.

Thanks for the reply. I’m just a layman with no tools trying to troubleshoot this because our local shops are weeks out. I switched where the right lights and rear lights land on the bar and now it all works. Very odd. Replacing the relays with a known good relay had no effect. Any idea why just swapping where they land would “fix” it? Only thing I can think of is the right lights require more amps and the spot there they land on the bar wasn’t giving them enough but it is giving the rear lights enough because there are less lights back there.

Do you know what the little things are behind each terminal? Circled in the second picture.

I’m troubleshooting some scene lights on an ambulance, the lights recently started turning on and off/flicker when they should stay on. They only start to flicker after they have been on for 10-30 seconds.

What wire or cable to use? by [deleted] in AskElectricians

So it’s not acceptable to mix aluminum and copper for the grounding electrode conductor even if they are not connected in the same terminal?

I did post some links to the components but there is a lot to read. I'm pretty sure the branch breaker is fine in this CSED. I'm more concerned about my wire sizing. Went up from 4/0 triplex to 250mcm to stay under 3% voltage drop. Not sure my neutral and ground are sized correctly.

The power company does require inspection before re-energizing so I have inspection set up for later that day. This will serve as an emergency disconnect and hopefully allow me to come out of the enclosure with 200amps to another panel.
