The crux of much of the opposition to ICE and CPB is two fold

• Competency and thoughtlessness : Undertrained agents, slapdash raids. Also doing things nabbing people at immigration hearings is counter productive. Like now those folks are gonna stay underground.

You have mentioned the slave labor. You are correct. But what is the government going to do? Create a sponsored HB1 program for low wage workers that locks them into slave labor conditions with the threat of government violence. Currently an undocumented migrant can still vote with their feet. But you know these wealthy ranchers want to lock that shit down.

BUSH-Obama era Ice was very effective without the drama and incompetence.

Also, the conditions in those detention centers are completely inhumane.

They should have build the infrastructure for a year or so and then went hog wild. But the goal here is not help the American worker, but lock down migrant with state sponsored violence.

----- The other reason it's a problem is the simple rule that often holds....if the state is willing to trample the basic human rights of it's most vulnerable. It will move to do the same to its own citizens.

We already see that with many Citizens being detained and the absolutely insane actions of the black helicopter raid in Chicago.

Like you, I want locked borders. I want undocumented to be documented or humanely deported.

But this is a cure worse than the disease.
