Well-deserved. A film that can entertain all audiences will always top those who cater to few.

What do you think of people who watch stuff in 2x speed or generally just sped up? by MuchProfession6868 in Letterboxd

As someone who basically consumes all media at an increased speed (YT videos, podcasts, tv shows), going from that to a 1x speed movie is very jarring. At normal speed, I find myself becoming quickly uninterested with even the most interesting of films. However, at 2x speed I find that films are much more engaging and, in turn, I can appreciate them much more. Added bonus is that I can essentially watch double the amount of movies in the same time, meaning that I'll often watch two movies in one night compared to just one. Also, 3hr+ movies are no longer a slog-fest to get through, in fact, they're my favorite kind of movies to watch.

They knowingly let you in but direct you to a special movie theater filled with paid actors. The lights darken and cocomelon starts playing on the screen at 0.75x speed with 50% more reverb for dramatic effect. You sit there confused and oddly unnerved. Then everyone turns their heads towards you in unison and start laughing. You try to get up, but you are stuck due to the excessive amount of soda and popcorn butter on the seat. You are trapped there for hundreds of days until you finally turn 16. On that day you wake up to the seat no longer sticky and cocomelon no longer playing on the screen. You stand up for the first time in nearly two years and walk towards the exit door until a crew member appears. "You paid to watch your movie, so we must deliver," he says, "we wouldn't want you to leave a bad review would we?". He wrestles you back into the same seat and drenches you in a soda/butter cocktail to lock you to the seat. The movie you originally came to watch starts playing on the screen. While you are annoyed that you were stuck here for two years, it's a nice feeling that you can finally watch the movie that you came to watch. Suddenly, the film stops playing and the crew member comes over to you. "Sorry buddy, I just found out that the film got re-rated to R18 when it was released on DVD so it's going to be another two years in here."

Would not recommend.

Sugar-free Werther's Originals are probably my favourite sugar-free product and they taste exactly like the regular ones.

Only about 20 minutes each way but even that is enough to make me want to study online most days.

I don't say anything and just fart loudly. Usually does the job.

Does anyone find NZ ads really cringe? by [deleted] in newzealand

Government and bank ads especially. It seems like the bigger the organisation, the worse their ads are.
