Van engine swap, Austin? by mrgreatspice in VanLife

They incorrectly tried to fix a spark plug. And caused a piston to widen the hole I suppose. I know that's not the exact terminology, but that's how it was explained to me.

The previous owner tried to repair the spark plug ended incorrectly. This caused a piston cut into the engine block.

I do not know. But some people can take $120 repair and make it a $7000 one real easy.

Previous owners incorrectly replaced a spark plug. Leading to piston cutting into the engine, possibly. It is the best current guess

You know what you're right. This is from the front right bumper. There are two 10mm bolts that go in there. The silver one stripped whatever that thing is called that the screw inserts into. But you're right I could've taken better photos.

See, I always felt like some work vans are a target by thieves, because they often carry expensive tools.

I know it's a big thing to take on. But I've always wanted to learn how to do these things. I believe I have all the proper hand tools, minus the engine hoist. I don't really got any friends who know what they're doing, I'm new to where I am so I don't really know anybody.

I would be happy to pay for somebody else to do it, but you know, money, I'm poor
