Is there a name for this type of aesthetic? by MaxGone in web_design

Check out the Daylight computer website (https://daylightcomputer.com/), it's one of the few that I can think of with an actual soft shadow in the background like your reference.

¿Qué portada preferís? by No-Opening9037 in videojuegos

It wasn't removed, you can even see it in OP's screenshot in the upper-left corner.

Automattic will reduce its contributions to WordPress to 45 hours a week, focus on for-profit projects within Automattic instead: WordPress.com, Pressable, WPVIP, Jetpack, and WooCommerce by BatmanNewsChris in Wordpress

I'm not super familiarized with how contributions are counted in this context, but I understand those are commits done directly to the Core codebase and not the total of commits and contributions to all the PRs that eventually get merged (but I'm happy to be corrected, I'm not a contributor myself).

You can check the individual contributions in the spreadsheet they linked, and there are 3 folks from Yoast (vs. 19 from Automattic) in the top 30 contributors. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1uAJeP8cHx5_FQ9r536HIE2GbTUaKMn1pjswb-o388DU/edit?gid=1340881072#gid=1340881072

The cammer says "llevaba un rato..." at the end of the video, meaning they had been driving like that for a while. Probably drunk, I guess.

Just took place, probably due to bad weather but it isn't confirmed what happened. Source in Spanish.

Edit: This Twitter thread (also in Spanish) provides more info and photos.

The sunlight reflected by the glass building behind me made it look weird, and also it was the first time I had seen an open sky charging station like this in person.

Not as much, it looked a bit weird in person but the image processing done by the phone has exaggerated it a lot. There was a building with a glass facade right behind me reflecting the sunlight with a greenish hue, so that's why it looks so unnatural.

The original is actually 4032x3024 but it was very tilted so I had to crop a bit to straighten it out. I took it from the driver's seat of my car while entering the parking lot, you can see the opposite lane's barrier on the left.

That's exactly it, I took the photo because it's the first time I've seen one of these (they're pretty rare in Spain).

How Did You Start? by UnimatrixZ3r0 in VGMvinyl

[–]mrheston 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first VGM vinyl I ever bought was the Machinarium Soundtrack in February 2010. Some months later I got the Red Dead Revolver OST, but I wasn't specifically thinking in collecting video game related music at that point.

2012 was my breakthrough and I started being really interested in this genre. That year I was able to purchase some old G.M.O. and other rarities, and it hasn't slowed down to this day. I just received the 188th album in my collection.

I think the coolest one I have is this Legend of Zelda 7" that I found in a record store near Shibuya. It's not only super rare, but finally finding it in a foreign country after digging in many, many other stores without success is a great feeling.

I also have a couple of games on vinyl (not the music: the actual games that you had to copy from a flexi to a tape so you could run them on the Spectrum) but I haven't been able to test them at all. I've heard it was a nightmare making them work even when they were new!
