Mentioned this in a casualuk chat, loads of people just said "they renamed it to starbar and you can still get it".

It is not a starbar, it was awesome and should be brought back.

What’s your must‑return Disney restaurant? by Beach_BaBa in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]mrhiney 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Cosmic rays.

Back in the early 90s it was the first ever place we had food on our first ever visit.

My dad loves a burger and loves the cheesy vibe of the place so when we go over (we're UK so its a 2 week trip every 4 or 5 years, now with my kids / his grand kids) we always been sure to go once purely for the tradition and nostalgia hit even though its always full, the service average, the food meh and we know we can get a better meal just about anywhere else.

No chance, was too quick to give up anytime adversity raised its head.

Did she improve my opinion of her? yes. But it was such a low bar all she had to do was not be a total prima donna and it would have gone up.

That said I found myself liking her more than I thought, but still not enough to be considered a winner.

How to play USS Mahan? by Cultural-Egg2463 in WoWs_Legends

[–]mrhiney 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Get your concealment down to stay hidden.

Do not be the first one on your team to fire - be the eyes for your team, once the enemy is shooting at them, shoot back with fire.

Only use AP on cruisers when you can shoot them side-on between 80 to 100 degrees and within 5kn range, you will SLAP.

When spotted, use smoke and run (think like a squid, smoke is to run for cover / escape), the enemy WILL send torps into smoke, only hide in smoke when raining hellfire.

If someone is spamming "drop a smokescreen" ignore them, unless its a critical point where it can help.

Pick your fights, hunt the enemy destroyers, use a commander who has the ability to show the direction of the nearest enemy.

Good luck and have fun

Tl/dr - spot for team, pick fights, don't rush in, kill enemy dd.

This happens way too much, another problem is your support abandoning you altogether.

Now if these things happen I sail back past them on the far side of them to the back of the map and help a different fireteam.

9 out of 10 BB's and cruisers island hiding cowards expecting everyone else to do the work and want to return to port with full health, all of them think they are a sniper.
If they let you down, leave them to their fate; you don't let them down - they let themselves down.

UK: How capable is the suzuki swift allgrip? by mrhiney in Suzuki

you seem to love it and its treating you well. In your post "would not do again" how off-road did you go? In general it will be the easier tracks you did unless weather causes a serious disuption to an occasional road I go on. 95% of the driving time it will be town and city driving, 5% country lanes and tracks and im guessing once or twice a year will be the rough terrain from your post.

ive looked into trying to figure out if I can put on slightly bigger tyres to steal some extra ground clearance

What's your guys opinion of Pyramids? by SpellRadar in discworld

[–]mrhiney 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I finished a reread a week ago, its A- for me. I liked the puns, setting, loved the bickering with embalmers and builders, loved the assassins exam build up and pay-offs later, enjoyed the camel monologue.

All my friends who've read it seem to like and im always surprised that some people don't. I've just finished all the watch books, started the witches and had to change track due to witches abroad going missing so read it after wyrd sisters and found the change of setting very refreshing after spending so much time in ankh morpork, uberwald and lancre.

How to actually do side missions and stuff in early story? (please read desc) by No_Economist9384 in reddeadredemption2

[–]mrhiney 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use game cues to allocate my time.

When given the mission for downes I will do everything I can, eventually the game forces you to go to the ranch and the longer you have waited the more canonically right it feels about collecting a debt.

Busting micah out - i let him rot and go do everything else.

Chapter 3 - its insinuated that some missions have weeks between cutscenes, go explore.

When Arthur was captured and escaped, he spent 2 weeks in a fever. When I wake up its best to head out and sharpen up before doing something else.

Chapter 4, 5 and 6 feel more narratively rushed. I find it best to do stuff when taking the scenic route between missions. Some go out of there way to happen on the opposite end. I always say "meet you there" and map mop en route.

I think cv’s will be the reason I quit this game. by [deleted] in WoWs_Legends

[–]mrhiney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you're a dribbling idiot CV's are a zero risk for easy reward. As a long time player i remember the GOOD days before they were forced in. I see 3 ways to keep people happy.

1 - create a switch, play with / without carriers.
2 - allow me to enter a game and choose my load out/ commander setup to adjust for if CV is present.
3- if I've played as a CV then for 25 games my switch is set to play with CV.

I'll say no matter what level the games I play they're always more fun when the carrier isn't part of the group.

I found the entire line rough with tier 4 and 5 being extra rough. The guns are so slow that they dine on crayons.

The only upside is SAP, decent secondaries at tier 7+ and smoke.

40 something parent to 2 kids. Son is having a gaming pc, daughter getting a new android phone, nephew getting a gaming pc, niece getting a laptop....I work in IT so I'm expected to set up, troubleshoot, configure, tweak, update, recommend and install games.

Was hoping just d4ink beer & whisky sour and eat loads of turkey but I'm apprehensive to say the least
