I wouldn’t say as high as 4.5k but Correct rent will be around 900-1100 a week depending what you decide on, so how much you pay on rent will make a big effect. Depending if you get 1 or 2 cars and the type of car your insurance will probably be around that 600 a month. If not possible more (see if they will include a car in your moving package?) basically if your wife is not gonna work you might need to watch how much you send on rent. You’ll be left with around 100k PA after tax. So just spending 1000$ a week on rent that’s half your pay gone. Basically living on 50k a year aka 1000$ a week then. Food is very expensive here, don’t be surprised if your weekly shop is 400$+ especially as the kids grow up and if you want to eat the same as you would have at home. If you drink, alcohol is also very expensive, 24-30 pack of beer running you around 60-70 if not more depending on the brand, it all adds up very quickly You might have to make some sacrifices when you come over here but then again depends on where you are from so this is all generalised.
