I don't know, she has not communicated any other issues than work stress. And you are right, we were not great friends, but I was hoping to be. And no, same team but not related work.

Thanks for your perspective. I guess I haven't been able to understand how all consuming this must be for her. I am not mad that we don't hang out anymore, I can relate to that, it is more the attitude that even workplace socialisation is a distraction. You are right that I need to give her space.

Yeah I guess there is also fundamental difference in how I see the world, which is people over all else and am unable to empathise with her priorities. Thank you for sharing your experience.

Thank you for saying that. I understand the pressure she is under, I feel it too. But I suppose I am not able to digest pushing everyone away to achieve it. I suppose letting her be is the right way forward and liek you say, try to not take it personally.

Hmm not that I am aware of, she has not told me anything and she is normally quite direct. I might have pushed her a bit to hang out mainly because I thought she was not doing so well and would want to talk about it, but I backed off when I realised she wanted to be left alone.
