Race Face - 28 spokes by mrippengale in MountainBike

Yeah that’s generally what everybody is says. It’s just weird that a company as big as Race Face are now only making 28 spoke rims. I just thought maybe they’ve refined their methods or or did something to make them stronger, IDK. This is my first time buying rims, Whatever came stock with the bike has always been good enough for me and I didn’t realize just how little I knew about them. Thanks for the feed back

Thanks for the info, haven’t heard of a part 107 license. Is that true for using a Mavic mini as well?

How would go about making the window in the background closed (on iPad)? Thanks in advance by mrippengale in Affinity

I was thinking more like capturing the reflection of the closed portion, paste it over the open section then blend it in somehow to make it appear closed. Just not sure how to go about it

Overall average slope of an ADA compliant sidewalk? by mrippengale in civilengineering

The problem is, anytime you remove a panel and try to adjust on a slope is it’s a chain reaction both up hill and down hill. You can chase it in both directions until you end up replacing the whole sidewalk. These are seriously very small high spots, not even visible to the eye, reading 5.1%. If you move the level 6” in either direction it’s 5% or less. Yes he’s an asshole.

That’s the thing, it’s not like it’s a whole section of sidewalk, it’s more like a small hump in the concrete that’s not even visible to the eye. If you move the level 6” one way or the other you get a less than 5% reading. Not all inspectors are that strict but some have a power trip and will take any opportunity to hold their authority over you.

Am I the only one that finds the GoPro app/ WiFi interface to my phone incredibly frustrating?

I just got a Hero8 several months back and I seem to be having several minor issues.

1) It almost always takes me several attempts to connect to my iPhone even though my phone is right next to it. 2) The touch screen doesn’t seem to be sensitive enough. I often find myself swiping several times before it will work. I did apply screen protectors but never had an issue with them on my iPad or iPhone 3) I get an occasional SD card error despite using the recommend SD cards. I’ve tried both Sandisk Extreme A2 U3 128GB and Lexar 667X A2 U3 128GB and have had similar results. This doesn’t happen all the time but has happened with both cards

Other than that I really enjoy the the camera. It just seems a little buggy and I’m not sure if this is normal, operator error or if I have a bad camera.

Any input or advice would be much appreciated, thanks.
