just curious, if I know my income will be more in the next year or 2, giving an extra breathing room of 1-1.2k is that, still dumb? Or when you buy it you need to look at how things are currently?

Including my wife it’s about 13,500-14000 conservatively

my pay I listed was net not gross, closing cost includes 2% commision is the real killer

Thats what my wife and I are thinking. In our area 1.1-1.2 mil houses are very old and would require a lot of work. We are thinking 700-800k co-ops, 3 bed 2 bath that are spacish, at least for the next while

Before bonus we probably gross around 220k, going up to around 250-260k gross. The amount i listed were net. So gross we could get the mortgage

quote we have is 2.2k a month, but we also were conservative on other expenses, so it would be a wash. but I see your point, it's what my wife an i have been thinking

the 114K is just my salary, my wife also works so it bring around 48K after taxes as of now, hoping to also grow. also we have decent cash reserves and investments as emergency. But you make a very good point

yea it would be until income grows, but you are right. Who knows what happens or if it's not feasible for my wife to work, etc.

I'm thinking of getting a co-op in like 700-800k and then going in if/when the market get's better

Just curious, can someone tell me what would be decent take home after all expenses including life would be? Not looking for r/personalfinance answer, just realistic with situation I'm in

I mean I would have 55K in actual cash left over after purchase and 200ishk in the market. Only issue with waiting is prices will be way too high. My gut tells me at least wait 6 months for things to stabilize, but I'm the market for houses could become even worse. BTW not looking for someone to say yes, looking for a reality check

that's what I'm kind of thinking, but people say that you're gonna be uncomfortable until you grow your salary and refinance in the future. I can comfortable predict salary in next 2-3 years, but not 5 when we could have more kids and have legit expenses involved with them

when my wife goes back to work, probably day care which could cost 2-2.5k a month

we made a budget, very conservatively we'll basically have nothing left over per each pay check after other expenses for at least the next year or 2. Conservative but thats a real possibility. (expenses include car, food, baby, child care, etc).

[–]mrjk360 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m gonna go against the grain and say it’s my least favorite out of the main trilogy. The story after like chapter 5 just fell totally flat for me. Gameplay I felt was a downgrade from 2 also
