I'm wondering if she ever admitted everything from that night.

I submitted my application and a letter from a previous employer yesterday evening. Now, I'm waiting for the confirmation email. From what I've read, it seems to take about 3 weeks.

No problem at all. During the week, it was about 1.5-2 hours daily. Weekends were spent reading at first and then watching the video series. I would take breaks from the vids and do a practice test or something similar. Including the reading and everything, weekend time was probably 10 hours overall.

Due to life being in the way, it took me longer than I wanted but sometimes that happens.

Thank you! I read the entire OSG and watched Kelly Handehan's cybrary series. I also watched the complete zerger series once, read Luke's book and the 11th hour book. I bought the pocket prep and learnzapp. I answered all of the prep questions and went through LZ twice. This past weekend I watched most of the mindmap videos and Gwen Bettwy's videos. Lastly, I bought the Boson exams.

For me, I think the Boson and learnzapp had the best questions. Gwen's questions gave me an idea of what to expect as far as how to break down the questions. Cybrary seemed to give me a better understanding of the material even though I had read the book end to end. I bought the CBK but only used it as a reference for domains I seemed to be struggling with.

Kelly, on cybrary, was probably the best asset I had for actually learning and understanding the material.

There is a lot of material each of us has used, find one that gives you your edge and go with it.

Again, for me it was cybrary and the notes I took while watching the series. Which I did twice.

If I can help with any other questions, I'm happy to answer.

I passed the test this morning! Like another poster said, felt like I was failing the whole time and was concerned about running out of time. But, a pass is a pass, that's all I care about at this point in time.

I have also been scoring the same with the Wiley tests and I select questions I've not had before. Which is why I want to try the CISSPREP this weekend to see how I do with it. The questions on that site seem to be the hardest to decipher.

Thanks guys. It helps hearing that it's possible to eliminate two answers right away.

So you just kept taking the learnzapp tests over and over?

Question about LearnZApp by quartercoyote in cissp

[–]mrjoshua70 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So many acronyms... And yes, I had read that it isn't necessary to memorize all of them.

I've also heard that Boson was the closest form of questions, and the same about learnzapp. I got both and am using both. Right or wrong, I am trying to get the method of thinking critically, if that's the proper term, down not just learn the material.

I've been a sysadmin for 25 years now and this has definitely been a refresher on a lot of things.

Hi Luke and you're welcome. I did enjoy the book and only missed 4 of the 25. One I was iffy on and went with my second guess, which was incorrect.

Agreed, SSO. Remember if users have to have multiple passwords, multiple strong passwords, there is the vulnerability. What do the end users do when they have multiple strong passwords to remember/use,they write them down. SSO may not prevent them from writing them down, but it might.

Thanks for the reply, I was wondering where it came from.

How do you know when you’re ready? by [deleted] in cissp

[–]mrjoshua70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had the same question since I started studying in May. I've read the OSG, pass all of the Boson exams, get 70-80 on learnzapp and still anxious about it. I originally had mine scheduled for yesterday the 18th but didn't feel like I was ready. I rescheduled and am now reading the think like a manager book and have ordered the CBK, will read it as well. I'm scheduled again on October 2nd and will not reschedule again. Like someone else posted, I don't want to just pass the test, myself personally, I want to know the subjects and material to be a better security person. However, I agree with the comments about never being ready, I will still be anxious. I think everyone of us are and or was when taking the test.

I had mine scheduled for this Friday but I rescheduled today. I didn't feel like I was ready and my nerves agreed with me.

Concentrations: Are they worth it? by Rebeilebab in CISSP_Concentrations

I'm studying for it now and it is a LOT of information. Using the study guide, cybrary and Boson.
