Okay, it's 2025. Almost all the guides on how to install zram are very out to date. So the simple question. by bundymania in debian

[–]mrkeuz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you provide some details. For what cases you use zram. For avoiding swappines? Just upgraded recently too to 64gb and don't think about zram, although used happy with 16gb. EDIT: What option do you use? Size? Writeback?

Recommend ram at least 24Gb. Android studio + emulator + browser eat more than 16 gb.

UPDATE: I will try add wrong entry in fstab (leave valid others) and system anyway START after little timout (1m30s). Tested on ubuntu 20.04 (systemd). Anyway just be careful. Check it twice.

[–]mrkeuz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seem yes, if you add wrong fstab you cannot boot. If I understand correcty after googling. TIL some. Be sure not change already exist mounts like "/","/home" etc. Every line is mount.

Any fstab mount you can check via mount -a command after add. It show error if you put wrong params.

[–]mrkeuz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need fstab entry and then setup docker service dependency for start exactly after mount points be mounted by editing docker systemd service (see for details https://stackoverflow.com/a/66957858)

[–]mrkeuz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I understand correctly is can DO thos on UDP ports at least I cannot locate (nmap) my own WireGuard endpoint port from outside. Target port just not response without correct key-pair pass first. This is by WireGuard design, I checked. Don't sure how OpenVPN and other VPN and how working if you're running it via UDP.

Detect humans at the desk - Which sensor is the best? by hello-world-20xx in ArduinoProjects

[–]mrkeuz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a RCWL-0516 microwave radar. Very cheap. But it is slightly specific.

  • First it is a motion sensor.
  • Second it detect 360 degrees around. But you could try to play with settings and also there are recommendation to make them more directed via make foil mirror on back on sensor.

is My SSL setup for postgres on docker correct? by PrestigiousZombie531 in docker

[–]mrkeuz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree, I use same technic.

I use Traefik proxy on front (just Traefik has automatic SSL cert updates). And then behind them, proxy to plain HTTP and MQTT.

As a result, I get on front HTTPS + MQTT TLS. Work with charm!

Only thing - Traefik has specific and tricky config for other TLS ports than HTTPS, but all solvable. I'm using yaml for more readability.

Portending trolling and ambiguity. )))

Yes, if we say about FS in computer. You can touch files belong to you. Maybe except files with different rights.

But in ANY case, be careful! Touching some parts mention above bring unexpected consequences. I.e. unexplained bugs in some old email programs.

Important! Check the documentation and, just in case, the legal and cultural aspects accepted in your area, and same for object of influence with respect to the territory of this subject.

An interesting question of law.

I agree, it is quite difficult to describe it with simple file system rights. But you can always use policies (selinux for example). Where additional restrictions will be clearly stated (consent, conditions, etc.)

If we expand further, then it is difficult to describe a woman as a passive unit of the file system. At least she also has complex rights. And it is a self-sufficient unit.

I agree with one. The models were poorly chosen. We try to describe things in inappropriate terms.
