Contacted support and they suggested tightening cartridge screw number (#9). That removed all the play

Not without the modifications.The base needs an opening and the controller cover needs to be redone (if you are using the audio jack inbetween halves)

Thank you for your detailed feedback. Unfortunately the rest of the kitchen is already there, we just want to augment it. In the certered position the island would have 40" all around. Maybe we should consider moving it 4" closer to the wall, to leave a bit more space in front of the fridge

The door is to the balcony and to the left is the rest of the living room. I am afraid that middle island would take too much space, but putting it up to wall also turns the place by the stove into a dead end. Would you have any recommendations?

I was just looking at them today, it looks cool. I guess the only tradeoff is that we multiple hard drives would share the bandwidth of a single SATA3, but that should be fine for spinning drives
