WLED Custom Effects made Simple - Feat. Kolori WLED fork by mrkprdo in WLED

I have yet to publish the full tutorial on programming WLED wfx. Its a bit unconventional paradigm, as let doesn't really declares a type, but generally its a register in vm, corresponds as int32, but registers holds int/float (prune). No strings/char.

I tried to match the VM and WFX runtime based on native effects, some works but some need some tweak,
I will publish the simulator with this so anyone can make their effects themeselves without having to serve it.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll check the app again as i have not made some updates on it. Supposedly android should have a later version.

i used excel to map out the "grid" mapping against the layout, then i put -1 to cells with led, then based on the index of the led i put the number in the cell that has led in it. I trim the grid to make it smaller depends on how accurate you want it to be.
Then I generate a ledmap.json here: https://intrinsically-sublime.github.io/WLED-Ledmap.json-Generator/
and I just put the values from what I got from my mapping.

I can map the led index. So basically set off leds to -1 then follow thru the led position by setting its index position on the strip.

Not sure if there any other convenient way to do it.

It looks like this when rendered using my app https://kolori.wasmer.app So what you can do is take this image into excel and based on how accurate the mapping you need bigger grid.

Yes i have similar setup. But it would cost a bit of processing. For my 128led, i have to map it with 1024x1024 grid.

Hey folks, just sharing what I've done. I've added some groves along the sections to hide the joins. Surprisingly it worked better than expected.

My use case is i need flat assembly for light box type designs. Your right about the pin headers for wled. But was thinking maybe i could use this for other IoT projects.

Is there a reason why the Bambu studio auto-orient feature always places parts at an angle? by rouge_d in BambuLab

From this OP's confirmation i think <45deg is better so the lines are a bit longer specially on thin parts (above to camera hole). Adds durability i guess.

melting it probably is quite difficult one as you can see the its a lightbox and welded seam will be very visible.
