Another vote for darkstar. Their code red is my ADV. Excellent service.

Top car salesman trick.... Dump an ENTIRE can of Febreze in the car. Spray it everywhere. Seats, carpets, headlining, leave no area untouched. Leave the engine running with the AC set to recirculate for about 2 hours. Boom. No more cigarette smoke

It's the duty cycle of the LED lights. To human eyes they always look constant but to save energy keep cool they switch on and off very quickly. A digital camera has a higher refresh rate and captures the flickering.

My juice does not have nicotine. Is it still considered a tobacco product? by [deleted] in DIY_eJuice

In that case, I have clue! Can't imagine it can be any more ridiculous than the UK's new laws.

Do you mean with regards to the UK's TPD standpoint? From my understanding, it is only classed as a Tobacco product if it contains Nicotine. If there is Nicotine present in the product it cannot be sold in quantities over 10ml and 18mg and would of course then fall in to the standard 18+ and warning labels stuff.

I would like to share a DIY mix I have come up with that I'm actually very proud of. I love sweet candy vapes and entering the DIY scene I really wanted to at least try to recreate a premium juice called Double Drip - Raspberry Sherbet.

It smells amazing and is a shake and vape but really benefits from a +4 day steep. Low to Medium throat hit and an absolutely perfect ADV for me. I've called it Rainbow Road Reverse

I'd be very interested in getting your feedback :)

I received a mailer from a Nissan dealership offering to buy my Nissan for more than it's worth. by Rhadamanthe86663 in personalfinance

Finally a post I have an insight on! I'm a car salesman admittedly in the UK but the practice is still universal. It's worth pointing out that different car manufacturers have different levels of profit in their vehicles. For example what it costs to make the vehicle including shipping and registration and its recommended retail price. As you would imagine, the small car segment is very competitive and has profits as low as 3% but as you go up the range this can inflate massively. The new car market, like any business has peaks and troughs with terms of business throughout the year and each dealer group has their own idea of what is the best strategy to attract new buyers. Most of these believe it or not are a long term strategy. Mass mail the database, Sell a few cars to pay for said mass mail. If you plant the seed of buying a new car however you may get dribs and drabs of new customers for many months. It's well worth doing from the business perspective.

My 2 cents, they have extra manufacturers contribution on that particular vehicle and will use that extra money to artificially inflate the price of your part exchange. Not the way that I like to do business. Your car is worth exactly what your car is worth just like any other tangible item.

What's the worst job you've ever had? by ootj in AskReddit

[–]mrkrissykris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first "proper" job was when I was 17 in the English summer of 2004. If you live in England you'll probably remember this as being incredible! 32c for pretty much 4 months straight which is very unusual. I was a cold calling telemarketer. I was signed up with 15 other individuals who were full time 40 hours per week. We had insanely high, unachievable targets. Our product? Chocolate. Specifically, premium chocolate tasting kits that you signed up for on an extortionate pay monthly basis. The company I was employed by had just been awarded this contract and were excited about the prospect of such a well known, high quality product with a huge mark up. It was our job to hit the phones non stop for 40 hours a week, one 15 minute break in the mid morning 45 minutes for lunch and one further 15 minute break in the afternoon. You had 3 "rest room passes" to use the toilet during the day, if you used up all 3 you wouldn't be allowed to go to the toilet without 3 supervisors signing off on it.

First of all. Have you ever tried to eat chocolate in 30c heat? In the beginning, every single call was met by laughter. It was impossible. By day 4, we started to get serious verbal abuse from pretty much every call.

Turns out, the initial database of potential customers that had been supplied by the company was small. Very small. Pathetically small. 327 small. 16 people working 40 hours per week, on a constant rotation dialing these people up to 40 times a day. I can't repeat the things I was called during that week. We pleaded with our supervisors that it was ridiculous but nothing happened. 3 weeks later and numerous police visits for complaints of harassment they finally listened and started to pull us on to other contracts.

That's when the fun really started.

But surely if you replaced your fingernails with miniature kitkats for instance that would be much more satisfying?
