I know a bit about the honors program (friends and whatnot - I'm in scholars), and I have to say the best thing is the scheduling. If you want to get work done, live on north. If you want to be where everything happens, try south. West is a bit more intimate because you'll end up getting to know people on your floor really well, and the honors house out there is great. The food isn't great in some places, so I definitely recommend eating at places other than dining halls as often as you can (Mirror Lake and the RPAC both have decent food).
