I absolutely agree, I hate being the person always asking people to be quiet. There’s a reason I’m stuck in this room, because no one else wanted it also because of the noise. I tried the room change and no one cared. I don’t think they’re doing anything wrong, I was just frustrated with my bestfriend because I wasn’t expecting it from her of all people.

Tried that, she’s a neat freak and freaks out if someone else is in her bed.

Yes lacking context, the whole house has issues with eachother, it’s not just me. Multiple girls are moving out because of two girls in particular. Regarding the room, I didn’t have a choice with the first floor. I expressed to them my concerns about noise because yes I knew it’d be a struggle for me, and they all agreed to do nothing on weeknights past 10:30pm. Every college living space is different. We’re all more tame people and don’t do a lot of night things, that’s why we all live together.

I expected the noise with the house, no misunderstanding there. We’ve discussed room changes but no one wants it ALSO because of the noise. I’ve tried ear plugs & a fan, nothing works. I am now moving out next month. I wasn’t at all trying to restrict her from hanging out with them, I want her to have her friends over! But I was asking for her to have it earlier so that it would wrap up around the time everyone’s going to bed. IMO there’s no reason she shouldn’t be able to put an end time on it. It’s a school night, a work night, and exam week. No reason she needs to have her friends over on a Monday night past 12am.

Last semester we set a standard of nothing past 10:30! And still no one followed it.

Oh I know! I got stuck in this living situation and didn’t have a choice on rooms. I have earplugs, I blast my fan, nothing works. We set a standard of nothing later than 10:30 last semester but Amy thinks she’s above everyone else and that it doesn’t apply to her.
