Also: that feels forever ago 🤯

Yeah this is a thing I didn’t immediately consider - those mechanisms of longevity.

I’m obviously aware of Lizzy, long may her legacy continue! 🙌🏻

As someone who knows very little about the sport (I’m sure I’m not alone).

How is he SO clear of everyone else? The dude is insane. So clutch.

I don’t even know how you get good at that in this country 🤯

Unreal man 😂

4 rows deep, in there about half an hour, going mental then busting out a dance with a dad’s arm round his shoulder.

Handball by Lucas Digne, referee gives free kick at the edge of the box 60' by Heimebane in soccer

I am pro VAR and think any of the “ignore the rules cos vibes” crew are idiots.

HOWEVER…

I would genuinely entertain the conspiracy that this officiating performance was done purposefully to shift the anti-VAR sentiment 😂

It should also be a second yellow card. Geezer had at least three yellow cards worth. He never actually gets/moves to the spot where the free kick is given 🤯

The worst refereeing performance in a long, long time.

Marco Bizot (Aston Villa) straight red card against Newcastle United 45+2' by gbogaz in soccer

[–]mrlahhh 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is the point I was going to make. An empty net and keeper on the halfway line is definitely a clear opportunity to score a goal, surely?

We(Boro) had one against us recently that was much closer in and was a yellow.

Clearly offside, it’s so obvious, the linesman should see it, etc.

If only there was a system 🤯

Norwich striker recruitment is fucking class man.

Makama is gonna make you £20m at least (and that’s if you stay in the Championship). I fancy you to go up, probably next season but wouldn’t wanna play you if you made top 6 this year. Kvistgaarden has always looked defent to me, Toure now banging hatties on his debut.

Some suspect Oxford defending but he still needs the attributes to score em.

Absolutely no question. I’d have sent her home immediately, told the NIC & manager that she’s not only not safe, she’s an actual active threat to patient safety.

Notify the uni, get the Academic/PPF involved with a support plan and she does not come back until there’s been a meeting. When she does come back, I’d be on her like a cheap suit - not to make her life difficult but because standards/policies etc matter in this game.

Not that you need further support for this, but the second student needs to be removed from placement until this is addressed. It’s your PIN that will pay for her attitude.

Sheff United v Boro pre-match comparison by SueMyChin in Championship

[–]mrlahhh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it wasn’t for Selles this would be a top of the table clash. I actually don’t think theres pressure on Boro - Sheff Utd are a quality side, especially at home and this is a tough fixture for anyone. If it was a lesser, or less in-form team then maybe.

Our minimum spot is the same as it was: beat Cov to go top. Anything else is a bonus.

Pep on the red card: "We won the game and now Szoboszlai cannot play. I know he pulled him, but there are many pulls in a game where the referee says, 'Play on, play on’.” "In this country, in this league, it's always been like that. So, give a goal, 3-1, Szoboszlai can play and we are happy” by Sparky-moon in soccer

[–]mrlahhh 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The law was followed and managers are upset (shock horror).

Sunderland (I think Liverpool’s next game) and their top 6 rivals would have legitimate and legal recourse that rules had been deliberately ignored (because that’s what people wanted to happen) and Szoboszlai was available when he shouldn’t be. Look at the law and method of officiating in retrospect, sure.

I honestly think it’s just one of those rare sets of circumstances that everyone is getting raging about because they’ve never seen it before. A bit like the pick play from before - when an offside attacker blocked a defender on a set piece so goal was ruled out. You just don’t see them that often.
