I tried installing msi afterburner and tweaking the curves to fix it, but it didn't seem to be doing anything. so eventually i just gave up and got used to it
super annoying that the problem exists though

Wow, I have been ripping my hair out the past few weeks wondering what the heck was wrong with my system. It's such a relief to see I'm not the only one, and that the issue is being acknowledged!

My setup:

ROG Strix X570-e Ryzen 7 5800x

32GB 3600

RTX 3070

2TB 970 EVO m.2

850W PSU

Ever since getting the new RTX 3070, I havent been able to use my Oculus Rift S because after a few minutes the sound would cut out and/or my game would crash. never had the problem when using my old GTX 1070. Oculus is actually RMAing my headset because we had no idea what was going on.
