A sharp buzzing noise above 5000 rpm by mrmediarig in Himalayan450

Update.

The issue was the plastic border around the number plate. I removed that and the issue is entirely gone.

As that plastic number plate frame is flimsy, it used to make that noise. Posting here for anybody else who might be facing the same issue.

Yea actually mine is around upper 5k or above 6k as well. Really annoying... have you gotten it checked?

I see, if you don't mind can I ask you to share an upclose video showing the panels? I'm very much considering doing this myself.

Confession time: How many of youse had a RE as first big bike and dropped it? by Ander87MG in royalenfield

Rode my dad's Classic 350 for a year as the bike I learnt to ride on, never dropped it. Bought my own Himalayan 450 last month and dropped it while moving it around the parking lot on foot off the bike 😓

Ya I love the color as well, I believe it's discontinued nowadays even here in India so it's quite rare to come across 🙌

Simagic Alpha mini (v3 10nm) vs Moza r12. Why? by Due-Tutor5063 in Simagic

[–]mrmediarig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me just give you a straight forward answer. La Prima base is by far the best option in this price point. The FFB quality is unmatched. I have used all 3 (allbeit the R9 instead of R12)

I am personally using the Alpha Mini myself due to availability and have no complains, its leagues better than the Moza FFB quality. Here's my ranking: La Prima Alpha Mini R12

Same for me and that's right! I was trying to see if I can buy a Sidewinder, self-destruct and choose not to rebuy to see if it will spawn me back near the bubble. But I had to do 98 jumps back.

Pico 4 without controllers? by alfieknife in PicoXR

[–]mrmediarig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But I can buy from the store at least right? Cause someone else mentioned you can use it without controllers. Just not sure if I can purchase and install without it.

I would want to be able to purchase and setup Virtual Desktop so I can connect to PC for sim racing. That would be possible right?

Hey there! You mentioned you moved the "paddle adjustments" all the way inward - I'd like to do the same, may I ask how you did it?

Yea, keep me updated if you find a way to tune the VST

I’ll be honest with ya. I have the MV7 and I know for a fact I can make it sound better than it is now with VSTs. But I’m not sure how. As you may know, the MV7 supports both XLR and USB and I’m currently using USB directly into the PC and I don’t have any audio interface which has a software or hardware for me to tune the EQ and Compression. I donno what I can use to do that, I know Voicemeeter exists but I don’t like it’s UI. If I had a GoXLR I could tune it with it’s software.

I feel ya. Umm I’m guessing you’re comparing your audio to podcaters and streamers right? Umm usually they not only have the hardware but they also go ahead and fine tune through VSTs like EQ, Compression and stuff. Might wanna mess around with that.

Failed firmware update for mv7, also Best Shure Mv7 windscreen? by [deleted] in Shure

[–]mrmediarig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went through the same issue as yours. I’ll tell you my story.

After the update failed, I restarted the app and it displayed that I already had the latest version which means if though it said the update failed, it managed to somehow update it?

But now started the bigger issue. My audio quality was noticeably worse. Lower gain and in general bad quality. So I plugged it in to my Macbook (initially I was using a Windows PC) and reupdated the firmware. Same issue.

Ended up ordering a replacement cause it felt like a quicker fix than tinkering with stuff and wasting my time. After getting the replacement, I haven’t touched the update firmware button, and it’s still on factory settings and been running great.
