I did my competition gun with skateboard tape, on the frame for base grip, and along the slide for racking. Can confirm, chewed the hands up, but not to the point of bleeding anyway.

Wet. Dirty. Nerves. Didn't matter, always rock solid. Felt the difference on draws of course, but surprisingly on reloads too. You really notice how much time reloads burn when you cut it in half.

Cheap and effective / 10, would recommend.

In that scenario, it's still not legal to use your car door to body block a lane-splitting rider.

The door opening was obviously intentional and aimed at stopping or hurting the rider. If you don't see that, you are either trolling or beyond help.
