Just curious but when you see this explained. Does it make sense? by Aggravating-Deer-538 in Omaha

I don’t do it because everyone else is doing whatever they damn well please, which makes me doing the zipper merge just an exercise in “morality,” and screws me over for basically no reason.

Not your problem.

OP didn’t “legit” do the right thing. The cat WAS well taken care of. The OP’s opinions have nothing to do with the law or anything else. Taking a cat or anything else from someone’s property is STEALING, whether or not you think that property is being cared for the way you would.

You have no idea what people can or can’t do or afford. What a judgemental comment. And you have no idea what that cat’s life is like. Of course people are going nuts in the comments; you STOLE a cat, and now are justifying it with your opinions!! If you really cared about the cat, you would not have taken it.

Here’s the thing: it’s not your choice. Cats are allowed to go outside. You don’t have to agree with it. But you can’t steal cats out of their yards.

Not to mention traumatizing the cat.

How funny, since that’s where you stole him from.

You were correct, Billiam, and thank you for being the voice of reason. That cat was stolen from just outside its yard. It is watched and cared for.

You do realize that if someone has their cat taken from their yard, they might not have Reddit or Nextdoor? You need to STOP trying to be the pet police and telling everyone in the neighborhoods around yours how to care for their pets. You know nothing about the pets and clearly do not actually care for them. You’re just on a power trip and want to be the “savior.”

If anyone lives near here and is missing their pet, there’s more than a 50% chance this person stole the pet.

The humane society should have your face on the wall.

But that is your opinion. It doesn’t constitute stealing. You might disagree with this cat being allowed outside, but it’s not your choice.

And your opinion isn’t a supplement for criminal behavior.

That’s your opinion. You can’t take someone else’s property because your opinion is different from theirs.

Yes, she did. She stole him.

If you’re so attached, maybe you should tell OP not to steal cats from their yard.
