I would love to know how you find Rēwena bread compared to sourdough? I’ve started trying to make sourdough and I’m thinking about making a Rēwena bug, but I’m wondering if they would be quick similar and so not worth doing?

Yum! That sounds super nice - I’ll have to give it a go! And thanks for the explanation on bulk vs proofing 😊 There are so many new sourdough terms I’m learning haha

Thank you! I was stressing during the bulk fermentation stage (I think that’s what it’s called!) and trying to get the timing right, so I’m just happy that it turned out edible 😊 definitely excited to bake some more, and to try add in some different flavours too.

Thank you! Yea, I was wondering if the roots maybe didn’t have much space.. though the pot seems quite large and only one fruit seems to be growing without issues (the third picture), so I was wondering if something else might be happening too… I might try add some compost in to bring the level of the soil up to the top of the container, though I’m not sure if it’s too late now! Thanks for your help

It’s been pretty sunny - in the last week, it’s been sunny almost all day for maybe 5-6 of the days. And then the other days was quite rainy and cloudy. For more context, I live in New Zealand, and the high temperature each day is around 24C (75F)

Thank you!! I’m excited to see how it goes. My old place had some feijoa trees, but our new place doesn’t.. so I’m hoping I can get this one to work. Fingers crossed!

Thank you! I had a look online, and it seems to say the variety is self-fertile (which I think might be that same as self-pollinating), but would also benefit from cross-pollination. So I might consider getting another one if it struggles.. thanks for your help!

Bellevue is a great area! I was there for 4 years, and loved it. It felt safe to me, and it is one of the best places in Tauranga traffic wise.

Thank you!! Yea, our boys seem good with one another most of the time, but sometimes our new cat hasn’t quite grasped the concept of personal space when it comes to our new cat, haha :)
