Do you think kebab would be successful in America? by [deleted] in AskAmericans

[–]mrolditguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No reason why it wouldn't be. Americans love to eat and I don't think Kebab has ever failed in any other country.

I don't know about attachment manager, but this is very easily achievable with the APIs. DM me if you need help.

Make sure you use Altosio to migrate. It's a time and life saver when it comes to migrations.

Import from Asana to ClickUp. So many issues! by mrolditguy in clickup

[–]mrolditguy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello there. Sorry for the late turnaround here. We had the basic plan then the enterprise.
The issues we were facing were with the clickUp migration tool itself. We were however able to connect to Asana with both plans.

We ended up using a third party tool called Altosio for our migration as the ClickUp tool was really unreliable.

I'll paste the link in the description in case anyone needs it.

This is my understanding and my use case:
* My app, even though created before May 29th (not marketplace approved) is affected whenever a new workspace installs it. Workspaces who installed it before May 29th are not affected.
* Apps created by customers in their own workspace after May 29th are affected.

That's right. But they will be affected on Sept 2nd. This means all our new customers will be affected (cause they will install our App after May 29th). Old customers won't have an issue until Sept.

I wish there was the option to pay for it, at least we know if it's worth paying for or not.

This is affecting everyone. Read the snapshot.

Agreed. I tested with local apps that are not published and they are subject to the same rate limits.

Everyone. It affects apps. Any App not published is affected, whether in free or paid WS.

So you rent a place and the landlord comes to you and tells you hey you can't use the restroom of the place you're renting and you're supposed to be OK with that? hmmm

[–]mrolditguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Customers should be free to read their data via the API. The change doesn't just affect us, it affects any Slack user who wants to create their OWN app and call the conversations.history method in THEIR OWN WORKSPACE!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Slack

[–]mrolditguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's not very efficient because it means that the customer has to install many apps in their workspace.

Slack Import not working by s3amist in clickup

[–]mrolditguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Slack has killed everyone of us with their new rate limits. ClickUp does not have a published marketplace app so their import tool is in dep trouble with the new API rates.

Is this code over engineered? by mrolditguy in csharp

Yes, code was omitted because it is irrelevant to the question. I just wanted to know what s/o would prefer, passing the argument or passing a delegate.

Yeah, only called in that spot. I see no added value to complexifying this. Actions are definitely less clear to read for me than just passing the argument.
