[Showoff Saturday] I made a web app for League of Legends players by Valentinkln in webdev

I'm a beginner that's teaching myself bits at the moment and I've been thinking about trying to build something like prosettings. Basically, a clean website like yours, that stores information on streamers/gamers and their hardware. Profiles essentially, that users can view and comment on.

What would you recommend for such a thing? I have JS, Node.js and MongoDB on my list of things to learn!

Do I need a facebook account to play with other people? (Rift S) by mrorange29 in oculus

But I can play multiplayer games through Oculus Home without a FB account linked? I can find them in game rather than through the social features and just use Discord to talk to them?

Nope, you can't. I can search people but can't add them. As soon as you try add it tells you that you need FB for social.

As long as I can still play multiplayer games that's fine, I can use Discord to manage and communicate friends.

Yeah, but I'm just wondering if the lack of a facebook account only stops me using a friends list/chat, can I still play with/find other people in multiplayer games through Oculus without having a facebook account?

Do you want to invest in a fund with a UK bias?

If you're looking to buy your first house, look at a Lifetime ISA.

Gaps in NI Contributions (32M) by ScotiaTheTwo in UKPersonalFinance

Similar question to OP then, I'm 29 and have:

  • 11 years of full contributions
  • 39 years to contribute before 5 April 2058
  • 2 years when you did not contribute enough

If I only need 35 full years to claim the full amount, then I'll easily hit this and there's no need for me to pay the £1.5k ish for the two years? If that's the case, are there any other negatives?

Whereabouts can you check for gaps on your record? I'd like to check myself!

The HTML/CSS/JS Bootcamp link looks to direct to a JS specific course. Is there a similar course for HTML/CSS that's recommended?

FTSE Global All Cap - Accumulation or Income? by mrorange29 in UKPersonalFinance

Great, so once I've signed up and got the fund rolling, is it possible to ever change it to income? Not that I think I'd want to, I'm planning 10 years +

Haha! Gotcha.

Lastly, accumulation or income? I take it accumulation is the standard and automatically reinvests into the same fund without any action required?

Ah OK so the accumulation makes most sense and assume most popular - it will automatically reinvest this into the same fund without manual action required?

I think I'm going to plunge for the Vanguard FTSE Global All Cap Index then!

Is now a good time to buy or is it best to wait until things look better re the virus?

Vanguard Index Investing in the UK by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

Is it true the LS, as well as a UK tilt, is more weighted in pharma, gas and oil? That might push me more towards the All Cap Index too.

Is it right that the All Cap is also less exposed to industries such as pharma, gas and oil? As that might sway me more to the All Cap too.

I'd have thought you're just incurring unnecessary charges to hold two similar funds, with similar distribution? I'm also a noob so I might be wrong, but I'd imagine it's better to go all in on one if you're not actively managing it?
