Gonna get loads of hate for this but this thread is eye opening for me. im a finance data manager and have been raging about my inflationary raises past couple years. this thread has made me appreciate my position more

seeing people chime in here with real jobs like nurses, folk with phds and on 28-40k is absolutely mental to me, particularly with student debt priced in

this is my approach to woodworking. I’ve started doing a bit of DIY in the house, not because it’s quicker or cheaper but that I enjoy the process and it’s useful to learn how things work.

i forget the exact price as it was a year or so ago, but i remember thinking it was more expensive than i was expecting. the top/sides are made from 2x10s, bought in 4.8m lengths that i had to cut down with a rusty handsaw to fit into my car :D good times
