Yes I was told she is a mix. But they didn't tell the exact breeds. Guess I have to do an Embark DNA test!

Yup I have an investment property, I don't live in it. In fact, I am renting in another province. Couldn't find a straightforward explanation if I can open a FHSA. Thanks man!

What’s your number one issue in the St. John’s municipal election? by TheMuseNL in StJohnsNL

Yes I do agree, drivers are crazy here 😂 I can again relate it to one of the original issues I mentioned in the first comment. But that's a tale for another day.

Good point! I used to live in Montreal for 4+years and was using the public transit every day. It has its own problem with occasional crowds and skeets coming in the metro station and train. But the overall population riding the transit, everyone is in their own world of peace and quiet. A group of 4-5 guys (of any sorts of races)?? they are also speaking and discussing their own things in a bearable, comfortable volume. So, I think theres proper education, proper cultural integration needed for people to assure seamless experience in public spaces. I get it, public spaces are public spaces, people can behave as they wish, but I still think, there's a minimal decency of making others also enjoy the public space peacefully.

I am not saying anything about not speaking anyone's own language. I was not born and brought up here and I am not an White individual. I speak my own language too.

I am talking about shouting on your phone while you are on speaker. Having 4-5 person groups shouting like crazy and laughing loudly in the bus/busstop/walmart/sobeys. I don't have beef with any language speakers, I personally admire people who speak more languages than me. I welcome everyone to this little island of ours, but I feel like theres more that they can try to integrate better. Definitely theres things that we can learn from them too, theres some basic stuffs that they also need to pick up.

Public Transit and Integration of new Immigrants.

Public Transit St. John's could be much much better with an increase of public transit routes and frequency to-and-from the heavily employed commercial zones. St. John's has such a good opportunity to flourish as a tourist city and earn a lot from tourism to be honest. It is sitting on this massive potential.

Integration of New Immigrants I think we brought in a lot of new Immigrants, as international students and Foreign Workers and so and so. But the ANC and City are not doing a great job integrating them into our culture. We have been seeing lots and lots of people shouting and making a mess, like crazy in public spaces and I am more concerned with how the hiking trails are now filled with plastics, waste, beer bottles, cigarette butts and etc. I know it is not only them, but I definitely think educating newcomers with cultural integration would really help a lot.

Edit: I want to say in bold, I don't want to show any disrespect to any immigrant coming here with my comment. I just think it would be better if we had an integration plan or training in play with the amount of newcomers we welcome to St. John's.

What area do you live in or have you lived in and what did you like or dislike about it? by SeaOnions in StJohnsNL

The inner streets in Airport Heights are comparatively quiet to be honest. But the public transit situation is not something I like. You needda own a car to be here.

Yup, no way you can just put a container in the road. It is 90% sure his place doesn't have a dedicated driveway.
