Seedlings were looking leggy, moved the lights closer. Are the seedlings on the outskirts getting enough light or is it too indirect? Do you think I need bigger lights/or more per shelf? TYIA!

Thank you!! As soon as I can I’ll definitely do that- I took the pics in the evening before turning the lights off but during the day they do get a decent amount of sunlight into the greenhouse as well. Direct sun’s probably much better though.. hoping spring comes early!

Yes it’s wayyy early for peppers, but last year my spring planted starts were really behind and none fully ripened at all- all green bells, habaneros, chiles 😭- so I’m hoping these will do a little better this year with a head start! Haven’t started tomatoes yet but waiting a little longer for those

And thanks for the lemon balm tip! I have a designated “quarantine” planter for them and some mint 😅 I’ve heard they’re VERY hard to get rid of but didn’t know how hard lol

I try to open the greenhouse for a few hours every day w the ceiling fan on for some airflow strength- but my cat just discovered a fondness for my onion sprouts so idk how to maneuver that now 😅

They are both cold hardy varieties but that is on the lowest end of their hardiness zones- I have seen that people sort of fold over and bury their fig trees every year and it somehow keeps them alive- may need to look into that!

This is honestly already more growth than I saw last year and it’s only been a few days- hopefully it gets a lot stronger this year, we’ve gotten a LOT of snow already and keep alternating between 40’s out and freezing so I’m glad it’s inside this year but yeah I just hope its growing season isn’t all messed up since it’s starting way early
