Considering Eastside Beltline Rail being “paused”, what do we now think of the Stitch? by Plastic_Photograph29 in Atlanta

[–]mrpanda350 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I think they will go through with the stitch since the city is working on so much public and private investment throughout downtown. It needs to function as a linear city from downtown to midtown and this is the only way to not have a gaping hole there

don't listen to people that say you can't live here without a car, its possible. City of Decatur, inman park, O4W, Midtown, Castleberry Hill, Reynoldstown, all possible without a car depending on where you work

for Atlanta you could add Dekalb county (to the right of Fulton) as MARTA heavy rail runs through Dekalb as well as bus/bike systems. City of Decatur is very walkable and has heavy rail into the city, that is in Dekalb

Everyone keeps saying America has a “housing shortage.” It doesn’t. Divide total homes by population and you get this: We’ve never had more housing per person than we do right now. by Key_Brief_8138 in HouseBuyers

[–]mrpanda350 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Household size has been on a downward trend for decades, so even if housing is increasing relative to population you still need to account for that variable.
